We had an exceptional experience at Prime 54 while celebrating our anniversary. Anastasia is truly one of the best bartenders in Miami—her expertise, warmth, and thoughtful recommendations for both food and cocktails made our evening incredibly special. Every suggestion was flawless, and the quality of the food was outstanding.
Anastasia and her fellow bartender made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was elevated by great music and impeccable service, creating a memorable and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Please extend our sincere thanks to Anastasia—she is an absolute gem and a true professional. We look forward to returning very soon. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.
Lobster was fantastic and my wife’s filet was uniquely great with the sauce on the plate! Recommend!
Cesar salad almost melted in the mouth somehow!
We started strong. The cold shrimp were fresh with good firmness, exactly how they should be. The Rockefeller oysters were well balanced and properly executed, full of flavor without being heavy. The sommelier did a solid job too, recommending a Napa Cab from Faust. Elegant wine, worked well with the food, and the 10% discount of the day didn’t hurt.
Before ordering, we were very clear about one thing: medium-rare porterhouse. We had just sent one back at another steakhouse the week before and wanted no confusion. With that clarified and appetizers finished, we ordered the $155 porterhouse with mushrooms, corn, and mashed potatoes.
The steak arrived medium.
That’s a problem, especially at this level and at this price. We sent it back. To their credit, the second steak came out perfect. Juicy, tender, full of flavor. Exactly what it should have been the first time. The sides were good and generous, honestly enough for four people.
Mistakes happen. What matters is recovery. The server apologized and corrected the steak, which is the bare minimum. But here’s the missed opportunity: why not comp dessert? Low cost, big goodwill, and a much happier guest walking out the door. Instead, we paid for dessert. The crème brûlée itself was excellent, with proper vanilla flavor and a clean finish.
With better execution and a smarter recovery, this would have been a five-star experience. But at a $600 check, I expect more from a top-notch steakhouse. Solid, but not flawless. Four stars.
My recent experience at Prime 54 was, unfortunately, disappointing.
From the start, the service felt rushed and inattentive. Our server made us feel more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. A wine order was taken by another gentleman, who returned twice to ask what we had ordered — and still brought one that wasn’t right. .
When I ordered three courses, I was told they were too busy and it would “take too long,” and that I should have the courses brought together. The overall impression was that they wanted to turn the table as quickly as possible rather than allow us to enjoy the evening at our own pace.
The food itself was uneven. The steak was very good, but other elements missed the mark. I ordered stone crab and was surprised that nothing was offered to clean my hands — a basic touch you would expect at this level.
The one bright spot of the evening was the sommelier, who was knowledgeable and professional.
Adding to the odd atmosphere, two married men seated next to us openly ordered escorts, which made the environment uncomfortable enough that we chose to skip dessert.
If you’re simply looking for a good steak, you’ll likely find one here. If you value polished service and an enjoyable dining experience, you may want to look elsewhere.
