The food is great: tasty, different, and a pleasant experience to try.
It is important to note: if you are going to come here and you expect Americanized Brazilian food, don’t. That is not the experience you will get and you will not be as happy. If you go with the intent to try something new, break away from your happy mold and into an expanded culinary world, then you will be well satisfied.
This food is created and served as if you were visiting someone’s home in Brazil. The owner talks to you, asks you what you would like to try, welcomes your feedback, and does his best to ensure that you enjoy what you eat.
The staff are incredibly friendly and answered every question we had and told us about how their experience starting the restaurant has been. It was exciting to hear everything they plan to do with the restaurant in the future: live music, bbq, buffet, bar, etc.
The food is incredible, clearly inspired by cuisine from the Chef’s home state of Minas Gerais. I recommend the picanha cooked rare to everybody, and try the tropeiro beans because this dish is not widely available! Look forward to visiting again soon.
Tender meats; flavorful spices and a very earnest staff. Meats are amazingly tender and the best across many states!
It is a buffet style with very humble presentation. Do not be shy and do try the different meats. Even the bacon wrapped chicken was surprisingly good.
The proprietor goes to source his meats, fresh, weekly, never frozen and it is some of the tenderest this diner, who’s visited all 50 US states, South America, Europe and Asia, has ever tasted.
Confortable seating and tablecloths!
This diner felt well cared for.
Ps: Very tender and juicy steak/picanha!
The inside of the restaurant is clean, welcoming and quite pretty. Clean painted walls, a roomy dining space and a very modern buffet setup. It’s not lavish, but it’s not outdated either. Made in Brazil keeps it’s main focus on it’s great food. It’s tucked away on main street and it can be very easy to overlook, but once you get inside, it’s quite the sanctuary from downtown Barre.
It’s set up as a buffet with a selection of about 14 different entrees, a separate salad bar, and last but certainly not least- a grilled meat counter. Here you can get sliced beef or chicken that has been slow cooked rotisserie style. Every dish here is phenomenal. The meat dishes are tender, the produce is fresh, and everything is seasoned so well that the spice counter seems like a tongue-in-cheek joke. Made in Brazil offers quality seasoned meat dishes with sides that serve to accentuate and compliment them. They offer a wide range of flavors that are all unique and highlight a specific ingredient. The $17-20 cost of entry for this buffet is such an amazing value prospect. Seeing the variety, quality and atmosphere, you start to wonder why you aren’t paying $30 a plate.
The owners/operators are also wonderful. They are humble, kind, and clearly take massive pride in the restaurant they run. This is my new hidden gem of Barre- but I hope it won’t be hidden for long. It is my hope this restaurant has massive success, if only for my selfish desire to go here for many years to come.
Expect to spend about an hour here when you dine in. This is a small operation with two people running the whole place and they are doing the best they can.
The dining room is simple and elegant, and the space is spotless! The restaurant is very clean, has friendly staff, and a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. I will continue to be back!
