Reviews
I’m honestly disappointed with my recent experience. The wait time was extremely long, even though it wasn’t overly crowded. We had to wait much longer than expected just to receive a simple order. It felt like there was a lack of coordination in the kitchen. The management really needs to increase kitchen staff so orders can be prepared more quickly and efficiently. Customers shouldn’t have to wait this long for basic items.
On a positive note, the food was average. The ambience was good and the place looked nice overall. However, I noticed that the floors were quite slippery, which could be a safety concern and definitely needs attention to avoid accidents.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and work on improving service speed and safety standards, because with better management, this place has the potential to offer a much better experience.

If you are looking for authentic flavors and top-tier service, Desi Tadka is the place to be! We had an incredible dining experience and every dish we ordered was a hit.
The Food:
* Malai Paneer Tikka: Melt-in-your-mouth texture with the perfect balance of creaminess and spices.
* Chaat Platter: A total flavor explosion—exactly the kind of street-style zing you crave.
* Chilli Guava: Refreshing with just the right amount of kick. Absolutely “deeeelicious!”
The Service:
A huge shoutout to Kaif and Nadir. They provided excellent customer service, making us feel welcomed and well-attended to throughout the meal. It’s rare to find such a winning combination of great food and even better hospitality.
Highly recommended! Check out the photos below to see these dishes in all their glory.
The real proof, of course, lies on the plate. We ordered the chicken hakka noodles and the mutton dum biryani, and both delivered an impressive depth of flavor. The hakka noodles were bold and satisfying, with seasoning that was assertive without being overwhelming. The mutton dum biryani was the standout. Aromatic, richly layered, and beautifully balanced, it demonstrated a confident command of spice, where no single note dominated and every bite revealed something new.
Service was quick and efficient, reinforcing the sense that this restaurant operates with quiet precision. There was no unnecessary delay, no theatrics, just food delivered at the right moment and at its best.
Desi Tadka succeeds because it understands a fundamental principle. Great cuisine is not about excess, but about balance, intention, and execution. If you appreciate flavorful food crafted with care and character, this is a place well worth visiting.
One of the highlights was the robot delivering food to the table — such a unique and fun touch!
The interior is absolutely brilliant, very thoughtfully designed and vibrant. And honestly… even the washrooms are a must-watch — super clean and stylish, which says a lot about their attention to detail.
Overall, great food, great ambiance, and a memorable experience. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the Decatur/Atlanta area! ️
Customer service was very good…
Samosa – fresh, hot and delicious
Garlic Naan – fresh, hot and delicious
Rice – cold
Butter Chicken – Not tender at all
Prior to this visit, every place I’ve been to had hot rice and butter chicken that was tender and ‘buttery’ in texture.
