everyone! Soo, lately I’ve been loving brunch and enjoying chicken and waffles. My husband and I had breakfast at 4 Brothers on Sunday. It’s an intimate establishment, meaning that the restaurant has a small dining room. The ambience is reminiscent of my favorite and savory diners and meals I’ve enjoyed as a youth. You may have to wait for seating, although reservations aren’t required. Now for our meals. My hubby had Catfish and Grits, which included 2 eggs and muffin. I had the Mountain Blvd Classic. It’s 1 sweet potato waffle with 3 real chicken wings. We both enjoyed our entrées ! And, if you’re a coffee drinker, 4 Brothers’ ☕️ doesn’t disappoint! Try 4 Brothers for breakfast. I hope your experience is just as good.

Food was delicious! Recommend fried chicken (wings or legs), fried okra and biscuits. Don’t get the coffee if you go for brunch.
Service was decent. Friendly staff but be prepared to wait. Definitely do not recommend if you have kids and they get bored easily.
The restaurant is on the darker side with the shades drawn and limited lighting.
There is a 25% gratuity/service fee automatically added to all dine-in bill regardless of party size.
Not sure if the food+service justifies the total cost at the end.
It seems they do take out, maybe will try that next time. But probably won’t go back and dine-in again.

I want to start by saying this was the best food I’ve had from any restaurant in a very long time. I ordered the whiting fish and grits and my wife got the fried shrimp and grits. Both orders come with eggs and a biscuit. The grits whiting and the biscuit were the stars. My wife and I ordered breakfast to go. The food was ready within the estimated pick up window. When we entered we were greeted as soon as we walked in. From start to finish everything was a great experience. Top notch customer service and food we will definitely be going back.

First time visiting i ordered takeout. I drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant. I ordered Chicken and Original waffle, Cajun Shrimp n grits, lemon and Red velvet cake.
The chicken was great the portion for the shrimp n grits was small for the price. The staff was pleasant I will return but will not order the shrimp and grits again.

My husband and I love this place! We’ve been going since 2021 as our typical food date without the kids lol. The food is always a hit and it never misses. I always get the fish and grits and it’s 100/10. The biscuits are homemade and super soft and buttery. Also the apple iced tea is absolute best! Highly recommend!!

Hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had! The breading is perfectly spiced and the chicken is juicy and not dried out. The shrimp appetizer was a bit disappointing, since it had only 3 pieces. Service needs to be more attentive, especially given that they add 20% gratuity on all orders irrespective of party size. Plenty of parking.

Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, It reminded me of when, we travel south. The food was good and the company was superb.
Love these moments of surprised breakfast.
The chicken and carrot cake waffles were delicious.
Also orders fried pickles, which was thoroughly enjoyed.
The other part was the day was the fried cod fish nugget which to me was absolutely scrumptious.

I drove all the way from Jones Beach just to try 4 Brothers Breakfasts after hearing nonstop praise from friends in the area — and now I completely understand why they can’t stop talking about it! The waffles were golden and perfectly crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the grits and shrimp were hands down some of the best I’ve ever had — seasoned just right and full of flavor. You can taste the care and passion in every bite. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and everything came out hot and fresh. Definitely worth the drive and absolutely a spot I’ll be recommending to everyone I know.

This is a wonderful local restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The smell of good food permeates the air. The food was very good. The meals are southern style and cooked even better than at home. Yes, I said that! I had the chicken and waffles. It was a buttermilk waffle, and I had three chicken legs with it. The waffle had a great flavor and was not too sweet. I appreciate that they offered real butter on the table, not margarine. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well. Perfectly cooked on the inside. I wish I had enough room to also eat some grits, but it would have been impossible. I am not local to NJ and traveling for work. I went to 4 Brothers Breakfast because of the pictures of their food and their menu. I was not at all disappointed and would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who likes great food.

Man what a hidden gem of a restaurant this place is. Very professional and friendly staff. Portions were very nice sized and prices were excellent. I met the owner, very intelligent brother that knows how to burn in the kitchen. They have live music on certain nights, wish we could’ve attended a performance. I look forward to going back here again, menu had some great options, definitely gotta try the beef ribs and grits next time. Our food was superb, seasoned perfectly. Thanks for the great experience.
