Chef Waldo is over qualified to be a chef here in San Antonio. From working in the biggest hotels in the world cooking authentic South American food, to cooking for hundreds of orphans. His love for feeding others goes beyond expectations when you’re sat with a greeting of open arms. The comfort of his welcome only grows when you taste the food he puts so much effort into. The quality doesn’t even begin to explain how fresh every bite is. He was growing his own produce before it was “hip”. Not to mention he donates most his time and money to feed single mothers and orphans. I hope this review opens the gate that everyone else has been keeping. EVERYONE NEEDS TO TRY THIS FOOD ONCE IN THEIR LIFE!!!( But I promise you’ll be back many times, like myself, and those I’ve introduced to his genius.)

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love Waldo’s! I have always felt like family when eating here. He truly makes you feel like he has poured his heart into each dish! I have been delivered. The food is out of this world. Chef Waldo is an amazing chef. His food was prepared with love and tasted to perfection. I was transported to different parts of the Americas and the Caribbean with each dish. Chef Waldo is also an amazing person. He was so friendly, and he made sure my sons were fed first. I have never seen better customer service.

Very nice place. Aside from ceviche, I have never had Peruvian food before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the reviews were good, so I took a chance.
I’m glad I did. The owner/chef/head waiter, Waldo, is a good guy, and clearly takes obvious and serious pride in his work and his business.
The food itself was quite good; flavorful, clearly fresh, and cooked very nicely. The chicken, for example, had a delicious smokey flavor that added a lot, and was nice and crispy, while the chicken soup was flavorful and better than your average style, American chicken soup, by far.
Even the salsas were nice; usually, when I order salsa roja, it’s just like shredded tomatoes, and nothing more. Here, they were nice and spicy, like a salsa should be. The fruit iced tea, as well, was EXTREMELY refreshing. He kept filling it up for me, and I kept drinking it, it was so good!
Well worth coming here.
