The food was good but if you’ve been to one mexican restaurant, you’ve seen them all. I dont mean that in a negative way but this place was just like every other casual dining experience. And like I said, the food was good. The white cheese sauce was a little spicy which I liked but most probably won’t. I got the chicken rice with chorizo added.

We stopped here because I thought it was owed by the same people as the Marie’s in Mckenzie which we love and have never had an incident. This was our first and only visit to Marie’s in Milan. I will start with the resturant was clean, the music was nice, and the waitress we had was kind and did try to fix our food. Our problem was the menu we were given and the menus on the table had the foods listed without ingredients in them that were included in the dishes. When we verified with the waitress exactly what was in the she agreed those ingredients were not in the dishes. We were served those ingredients anyways in the dip we ordered. Because ofnthat we double verified while making our entree order that the foods did not contain anything not listed. She said they did not. As we ate we found it in the dishes anyways. 2 members of our party did not like the ingredients and could pick them out, but I have an intolerance and while I take medication to limit my reaction to consuming it, I ended consuming too much having had it basically hidden in half the food yesterday at lunch. Here it is nearly 6 am the next day and I am still suffering from it. Unfortunately we will not be returning and I wanted other people to know they do not warn you what is in the food nor do they take you seriously when they say you cannot eat something or cannot tolerate too much of a food.

Always have been a loyal costumer and have ate here over 100 times. Food is always good but I do have a few critiques. The biggest being my partner is vegetarian and have had multiple instances with meat in their “vegetarian” plate due to all the food being cooked together. My only other complaint is that some dishes are advertised to be served with cheese, such as the fajita bowl, and will have none when served. Other than that great restaurant. Great food. And amazing service, epically the hostess.

First my drinks were undrinkable. Server responsive quickly and professionally wish I would have gotten her name. If you own a restaurant in milan find out who she is and hire her.
As for the food. I try to order something simple the first time I go somewhere. When I received my nachos they looked bad. You had to search for cheese. On nachos? I took one bite it was inedible. And my companions taco salad he took a couple bites. Let me point out we hadnt yet eaten that day and it was well after noon. The manager did not take my meal off. Remind you I took one bite. It was $9 a drink that you could tell there was coke in it and wished I had some rum. This is Milan not Broadway in Nashville.
If you want Mexican go to Taco Bell where real authentic Mexican food is. Not really but that’s how you feel after you been to Maria’s in Milan,TN. .

On 12/29/2026 my wife ticket order #50 when she got home with food (we live 2mins for restaurant) my beef taco salad was ice cold I called asked to speak with manager was told, no manager was there , asked for owner no owner was there and that I need to come up there in the morning I have been going to this place for over 10 years I will not be back I will be drink to medina or jackson for know on they have lost my business of 100 orders.

If I could leave a zero I would. This is the worst experience my family has had with this restaurant. Ordered to go for 5 people, when I got home some food was icebox cold. Tried to call and speak to managerand was told there was no manger to speak with. Have been going for a very long time and after today we won’t be going back.

If I could give negative stars I would. My husband and I came here. The hostess was napping in a booth. She gets up and seats us, barely saying anything.
Our waiter comes and gets our drink order. My husband tried to order the energy drink, the waiter said they have never carried them. After we order our food we waited an acceptable amount of time. Food smelled good. The waiter walked by us and never asked if we needed refills.
Mostly, he talked with another employee who played on her phone the entire time we were there. I finally got the waiters attention and asked for refills. Again, he never asked if we needed them, even though we would have liked one more prior to leaving.
When we got our food, it looked good. My husbands ended up so spicy he could only eat a few bites. About half of my meal was really edible, the rest way too spicy considering the difficulty getting a refill.
I had also ordered the white cheese dip. It was more like spicy milk and no cheese. Just liquid and not creamy or cheesy.
We had ordered dessert. My husband ordered Fried Ice Cream. He said their’s was not that good. I ordered something that was supposed to have cheesecake in it. Instead, it was a nasty custard that I could not eat much of.
After leaving I became extremely sick, vomiting and diarrhea. We will never go back.
