This place used to be good. Now it has really gone down hill. For the Hibachi Meal I ordered simple Filet Mignon and Shrimp. They used to put Sesame Seeds on the Steak and Seafood now they don’t and the prices are more expensive now. The vegetables were hard as a rock not tender and literally no flavor whatsoever the broccoli just tasted bland. The noodles got dry after 5 minutes of cooking so it’s obvious they aren’t fresh they have them in the freezer for months. The staff are nice and helpful and it’s not their fault this restaurants quality has gone down. The owners and being cheap in the quality of the food but increasing prices is the reason. Go somewhere else instead.

Had a very nice dinner here with family yesterday to celebrate Father’s day! The chef on the hibachi did a very entertaining presentation and was the icing on the proverbial cake! Three of us ordered sushi and it was delicious and huge!

Honestly, of the local sushi and hibachi places in the area, this one is my least favorite. I had a gift card so I decided to get take out for lunch for my husband and I. Since it was my first time ordering from them, I called in the order which I was happy I did because I received recommendations from the manager. He alerted me to the sushi lunch deals which was nice since essentially I got more for my money. I ordered salmon hibachi, chicken hibachi (no mushrooms), and five sushi options and picked up my order. The manager was friendly and my order was ready upon pick up (hence the 5 stars for service). The atmosphere was nice and clean, but I only observed the lobby/bar area.
Once home, we dug into our meal. The to-go containers were durable so there was no leaking; however, I was thrown off by the amount of liquid in the vegetable section of the container. It was just too watery and threw off the mix in of the yum yum sauce. The sauces tasted good though. The hibachi salmon was a little overcooked as I would have liked it to be more flaky inside and not so crunchy outside. Unfortunately, I did find a couple hairs in my hibachi so that was understandably off putting. As for the sushi, although flavorful, I’m such a stickler for food consistency. Compared to others, their sushi all tasted very… Soft or perhaps mushy. The cucumbers didn’t have much of a crunch to them, the avocado was too ripe, and the salmon didn’t have that typical consistency I’ve had elsewhere. I was disappointed that I was underwhelmed by it since I’d been looking forward to sushi for months (couldn’t have it due to pregnancy). I much prefer other restaurants over this one but there’s always that chance that it was just an “off” day for them.

The one thing we typically only go here for is the tuna squared and it was really good. Also got the lunch hibachi which we ate in the sushi area not in the hibachi room and I would not suggest eating it except for having it made in front of you. The race was obviously cooked ahead of time and didn’t have a whole lot in it like veggies and stuff and was dry and pretty much tasteless and not really even hot the steak was a little tough and not cooked properly to medium like we asked in the shrimp we’re not a whole lot and a little overcooked for the money.

We came here twice last week, on Monday and Wednesday. We sat down and ordered Hibachi and sushi. Wow, everything is very good! The sushi, top notch. The hibachi food, very good. Their soup and salad (the sauce) on point. The waitress, so hardworking! She’s the only waitress working at the dine-in area on weekdays! We had to wait a bit longer for the food, but the food is very good so worth the wait, She was able to serve and deliver everyone’s dinner at good timing. Also, I left my credit card at the restaurant on Monday and went back Wednesday to pick it up. They kept my card safe so I didn’t have to order a new credit card.

This is a tragedy, the food was on the dash and spilled all over the car. 10/10 food 0/0 turn

Food was served cold. Ordered Hibachi chicken but the food arrived ice cold. When told, the food was just microwaved and brought back to me. Has always been a fan of ichicban but this experience completely changed my thought. No more Ichiban.

NO, THIS IS NOT HIBACHI, which refers to table side cooking on a portable open grate grill.
There’s also Questionable authenticity, by listings such as Crab Rangoon, which IS NOT / HAS NEVER BEEN Japanese nor of any of the fine cuisines of Asia.
This place however is the common adulteration of teppanyaki cooking: food stir-fried on a flat griddle, rather than grilled.
—- From my visit, i observed over use of soy sauce!
The menu very long and rather tedious.
Then there’s the very long list of raw fish dishes. BUT many, especially the rolls (Maki) are those are doused with (drowned in) sauces. Several have cheeses .
—Sauces destroy the natural taste/flavor of fresh raw cuts of fish.
— Cheese is never an ingredient for sushi .
— Real sushi is simple and clean!!!
That said / notated:
The sashimi dinner plates are well prepared.
There’s a handful of rolls, without the sauces. The best in the LIMITED CLEAN rolls are the Osaka and Rainbow Rolls. Notably, the layer of sushi rice is thin (a great plus!).
It a huge establishment.
Service could be better. The waitress appears bored, attending the table only when taking/serving the food, then disappears.

Deep in the heart of Japan lies a tranquil yet deliciously yummy food establishment called Ichiban. This hibachi restaurant was delectable. The food portions are huge, staff was attentive. The cooking included all that you expect from a fine Japanese meal. It is the perfect place to fuel up before you banish your enemies and restore honor to your family. Can’t wait to come back.
