This was my first time ordering food from Gourmet House. The food was fresh and tasty. I would have given five stars, however, I ordered the moo shu pork, which was my first time ordering that particular dish. And instead of pancakes, they gave me what appear to be a bunch of wonton wrappers? Am I wrong here? Moo shu pork comes with thin pancakes, right? The wonton wrappers were weird, and they didn’t even mention anything about it when I picked up my order. It seems a bit shady. But the food itself was very good.

Just picked up a to go order and it was absolutely horrible! General Tso’s chicken… The chicken is so hard and so tough it is inedible. It also came with fried rice I didn’t ask for fried rice! Find somewhere else to go

I tried this place on a night I happened to be in Irondequoit, and I’m really glad I did. I live half an hour away from this restaurant, but it is now my first choice for takeout. The food is that good.

I was so excited to try this place for the first time, after seeing so many great reviews. Unfortunately, my food arrived lukewarm. The egg roll was overcooked and soaked in oil (oil dripping out when you’d go to eat it), so I could not eat it. The egg drop soup tasted very off and like cardboard. Some of the portions of egg were green. The pork fried rice did not seem entirely fresh. It was dried out entirely on the top and some portions seemed fresh while others didn’t. One piece of my chicken was still pink inside. It could have been an off day, but I had hoped for a better experience.
