Out running errands need breakfast….this place was close. Tiny space, but unique 70’s vibe. Hubby and I both got a regular biscuit sandwich. I got the Hannah Montana sandwich (like a Monte Cristo) was delicious. The biscuit was HUGE!!
Couple next to us got some amazing cheesecake. Totally missed seeing that! Looked delicious!!!

Southern Tac – I wish the fried green tomato had more flavor because it got lost in the sandwich (which was very flavorful). By no means did I dislike this sammy though, definitely still one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a while. Not one note AT ALL !!
Biscuits sold out 30 minutes after we sat and I felt extremely lucky to get my side piece *safe space approved*

Finally tried Side Piece Kitchen today in Tacoma @sidepiecekitchen. Literally the best biscuit I’ve ever put in my mouth and the best gravy I’ve ever put in my mouth. My go to breakfast is either chicken, fried steak or biscuits and gravy and this by far was the best biscuits and gravy I’ve probably ever had. I was so full and I still could not stop eating it because it was so good.! The vibe in there was so cute too. Congratulations to them, because they have got something going on there !! And the music was awesome as well.

It’s been a while since I reviewed Side Piece Kitchen and I wanted to share that they have consistently have been superb each visit. I got really excited for the last week of August’s specials as they were nostalgia blasts featuring dirt cup cheesecakes and teriyaki dippers which were my favorite thing to get in my school lunches. I had to practically beg my boyfriend to go and eventually just told him that they had a cosmic brownie cheesecake and he started telling me to get ready to go.
We had an event to go to at 11am and arrived around 9:30-40amish and there was a line out the door but the staff here are always on point in ensuring there isn’t too long of wait that we were efficient on time and able to dine in (we were ready to eat on the way up). The food was absolutely delicious, never had a bad experience here. I absolutely loved the presentation of the lunch meal and the teriyaki dippers were fantastic. My friend tried the Baca and said it was fantastic too! I also love that they have a fun T-shirt design contest and look forward to seeing the top three best designs. It’s incredible how these guys are always able to come up with amazing specials, friendly service, and offer just great vibes with each visit. I feel like we visit them at least once a month, and honestly if I could I would try to come every week. We appreciate that they have a dog friendly patio. As a long time supporter of Side Piece Kitchen, I am so glad they are local, supportive of the community and small businesses, serve truly some of the best food in the country, and are just overall amazing people.

I loved the vibe here reminds me of my grandma’s house, and her home cooking. The food was so bomb I ordered the Maple biscuit with sausage and egg they call it the Sizzurup! Highly recommend it, cooked perfectly I wanted seconds lol. they had music playing which was my kind of vibe. The line wasn’t too long, and you can order ahead if you would like, They have also have to go options. Most definitely coming back with friends and family!

Great funky biscuit sandwich shop. I had the fig poppa. nice combination of fig, goat cheese, and arugula. Next time i’ll try the southern tac. Make any sandwich vegetarian with plant based sausage.

Came here for brunch because it had such amazing reviews, but weren’t allowed to dine-in because we didn’t realize that the 21+ rule also applied to sleeping babies in car seats. So we ate our fancy biscuit sandwiches out in our car and they were sooo messy and although the ingredients sounded so yummy and fancy they I could hardly taste them because there was so much biscuit! The biscuit would probably have been better not in sandwich form, it wasn’t bad but left this buttery-ish stickiness on the roof of my mouth idk. Place looks super cool inside though.

Love this place, the vibe, decor, people, and food. They offer a great selection of vegetarian (not so much vegan) options: all of these photos are vegan sausage. Thank you for having this option! The avocado on biscuit is one of the best things I’ve ever had. I’m not a fan of the cheesecakes or the packaging: while the restaurant clearly is dedicated to minimizing plastic waste, the cheesecakes (which are too sweet for me) come in plastic clamshells (even if you’re dining in!) and all of the takeout seems to be in those plus plastic bags. Please use paper when possible, since plastic is forever.

When people ask me my favorite restaurant in all of Tacoma, side piece is always what I tell them. This place is crazy good, and has easily some of the best breakfast/brunch foods I’ve ever had. My go-to is the Stoner SOS, it’s got some seriously amazing gravy, and frankly it’s difficult for me to want to try anything else because of how good this dish as a whole is. The breakfast sandwiches are also delicious (and massive), and you’re not gonna go wrong trying any of their cheesecakes. Be quick on ordering those though, as they can sell out pretty quickly. Also, kids aren’t allowed in the restaurant, which if you’re someone like me who doesn’t like kids then thats a huge plus. I hope someday they can expand again, as the line cant get pretty crazy and seating is limited, but thats yet to deter me from stopping in.
