If you find yourself passing through Mt. Olive, you absolutely have to stop by MOM’s Seafood and Steak. This place is a total hidden gem. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and welcoming; it feels just like having dinner at an old friend’s house. The service is top-notch—the staff is friendly and attentive, and our food came out quickly even though the place was packed. The portions are generous, and the seafood is as fresh as it gets. It’s conveniently located right on Main Street, so you can’t miss it. This is Southern hospitality at its absolute finest!

I stopped here after a long day at the water park. I called a few times before placing my order but the lady was very nice with me. I ordered 3 2-Fried combo and 1 Boiled platter I guess it’s called with 2 legs , 2 boiled eggs, 2 sausages 2 corn and some shrimp. Everything was DELICIOUS. Seasoned perfectly and fresh! I will stop here whenever I’m in the area now that I know how to get there. Fish, shrimp, okra, hush puppies, crab legs, eggs, EVERYTHING was great!

First, I want to mention that “sitting down” at this restaurant is at a wooden picnic table outside. This place is all about the FLAVOR.
We found “Mom’s” as we were on a road trip. Hubby wanted orginal tasting seafood and this seemed to be a fit.
We followed Google directions and legit thought it must be wrong…but low and behold we found Moms. On a Saturday night they had all the locals coming in and picking up their orders.
We ordered one of the seafood mixes (for me and hubby to share) and chicken fries (that comes with French fries). It came in just under $40 (no drinks) .
The seafood boil was DELICIOUS, SO SAVORY. Now here’s my caveat, the seafood boil came in a clear bag wrapped in a larger bag. I had never received seafood like this but literally need ed to be in a bag since it had so much delicious buttery sauce on it.
Kids chicken fries with French fries came in a Styrofoam container.
