Great service and authentic food. We’ve followed them from the old food truck days. The one thing to improve I could say is explaining the apps, we got a stuffed potatoe ball, we thought it was multiple but it was one, we would of gladly gotten a few after seeing the great price. Again the food is amazing and service is too! Photos of ropa vieja, and the filled potatoe ball.

Havana house has excellent food and service. There is outside seating if you don’t want to listen to music.

Driving down 1488 we saw the billboard for Havana House and decided to try it. Since we wanted something on the “lighter” side, we decided to get a Medianoche and Cuban sandwich. Both were delicious. We are looking forward to going back and ordering the ropa vieja, oxtails, and getting the guayaba and cream cheese pastries.

I am a huge fan of the Cuban sandwich! I’m American and lived in Miami for 20 years when growing up and it’s hard to find in Houston an authentic Cuban restaurant.. I sat outside, music playing. Not busy during lunch time either. Looking forward to coming here again. The potion is enough to feed two people

Love them! Very friendly and nice Cuban restaurants. Their sandwich is so good!! We love it. Their shredded beef in tomato sauce is good – a little too source for me but very tender.
Their kid plate- roasted pork was delicious. My son loves the meat.

Nice homestyle Cuban joint. Pernil was AMAZING, garlic topping and lime wedge really cut through the fat well. The yuca was delicious. Vegetables could’ve used more seasoning. Plantains were great!

Food was amazing and the service was great! Lady at the front tried speaking English and was as helpful as possible with English only speaking guest. I know spanish so it was really easy for me to place my order, but they will accommodate if you don’t. I had the Cuban Sandwich and it was amazing. Filled with meat and just the right amount of condiments. The Guava Cheese puff was great too, although lacking on the cheese portion. Overall, definitely recommend!

I had the Pollo ala plancha with Tostones and Yuca al mojo. The chicken breast was tender and flavorful. I love the crunchy Tostones. They were served with a type of ranch and garlic dipping sauce, which was very tasty and garlicky. The Yuca was delicious. I also had a guava juice. It was refreshing and tasted freshly made.
My wife ordered the picadillo plate. It was flavorful and juicy. She had plantains and Moros (rice and beans) as a side. The moros was a perfect portion. The plantains were very sweet and delicious.

I had an amazing meal at Havana House! I ordered the Grilled Chicken (Pollo A La Plancha) with white rice, black beans, and maduros for my sides, and everything tasted incredible. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, the black beans were packed with flavor, and the maduros were cooked just right – sweet and tender. I finished off my meal with a Cafe con Leche, and it was the perfect ending to a satisfying dining experience.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they didn’t have my favorite appetizer, mariquitas! Add those to the menu, and I’ll gladly bump this to a 5-star review. Can’t wait to come back!
