A small coffee shop that is cute and charming. We ordered two sandwiches and the bread was cold, and at no point did they ask if we wanted them warmed up.
The sandwiches definitely would have been great if the bread was warm.
The mocha my husband ordered was around an 8/10
My pistachio matcha was a 7/10 because I found the matcha flavor too weak
It’s a cute place, I wouldn’t go back, but I do recommend trying it!

I have many good memories of the Cambridge location from my time as a graduate student, so this was my first visit to the Charlestown location with fairly high expectations.

The onion and tomato pizza was just okay. The bread felt overly soaked in the sauce and lost its texture, which was disappointing, especially given the many positive things I’ve heard about the pizza here.

The Akbar Mashti cheesecake (pistachio & saffron) was good—very dense and moist. The pistachio cheesecake layer was nicely thick, though we felt it could be even better with more pistachio crunch on top to add textural contrast.

The flat white was under-extracted, quite acidic, with a grassy flavor. Our biggest concern, however, was that our hot coffee was served in a disposable cup (a paper cup with a plastic layer inside) even though we ordered to dine in. We are a bit concerned about food safety, and mugs would be more appropriate for in-store service.

Overall, today’s experience was a bit disappointing. I’ve previously enjoyed their burrata pesto sandwich, croissant, savory scone, and matcha pound cake, which were all quite good.

We were on our way to a birthday dinner at a famous restaurant in Boston when we happened to see a bakery that was still open a little late. I went inside to check it out, and even though they only had two kinds of cakes left, it was definitely worth it! One of them was a raspberry-strawberry cheesecake, it had a delicious icy, sweet-and-sour flavor that we loved. I couldn’t resist and bought some because it was so yummy! The bakery itself was quite spacious and definitely worth trying. Loved it!

This shop was recommended by my girlfriend, so we went together to try their coffee and baked goods. We ordered the pistachio croissant, pizza, and coffee.

The pistachio croissant had a lovely nutty flavor, was creamy, and not overly sweet — just the way I like it. Everything about it was spot on.

As for the pizza, I really enjoyed the contrast of the crispy crust and the soft, fluffy inside, along with the juicy, flavorful sauce.

Overall, I was really impressed. This is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to — can’t wait to try more of their bakery items!

This place is one of the best bakeries/cafes in town. Super aesthetically pleasing and the food is just top level. Get the fruity paistry or the flatbread. Cookies are pretty good too and the matcha is soooo good, great quality powder and mixed. Their saffron syrup is delicious and you can add it to any drink. Honestly don’t miss this spot (this is written out of passion and love for great quality spots)

If you are looking for a bakery, a quality bakery, in Charlestown (or Boston as a whole), this is it.

The food is excellent. The scones are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside as they should be. The bread is fantastic and unique. They have sugar that is flavored with saffron, cinnamon, and cardamom for your coffee.

There is an attention to detail (the artwork, the music, and of course, the food) that is refreshing and really makes the experience of eating here worthwhile. Yes, the food is excellent (as noted above) but it’s also what you want for a breakfast conversation, or study spot, or reprieve from the daily grind.

I like this place and you will too.

The food here was great, love the story, the different types of pastries to try, the food is phenomenal but it’s sorta disheartening to hear that they only pay their staff $7.50 an hour at a coffee shop. I couldn’t even imagine if they barely make enough working there. It’s busy all the time and I see there’s only 2 maybe 3-4 people on a shift when there’s so much going on. You definitely need to reevaluate how much you pay your staff because that’s ridiculous. I don’t think I’ll come back, I just don’t support people being overworked and underpaid

So polite and a real neighborhood vibe. I tried the ricotta matcha cake and it was so tasty! Everything here is so unique and fun.

It is pricy, but this is Charlestown, so that makes sense, and there are no surprises (if, say, non dairy milk costs extra, someone will tell you before you order and get the extra charge).

The art work is fun and curious too! I appreciate that it sent me reading to learn more.

Parking is tough here, but, again, that’s Charleston for you.

Loved this cafe and its unique latte flavors! The halva latte was delicious with a nice tahini flavor, they also have not just coffee but a lot of teas as well.

They have nice looking pastries, I especially like that they sell ones from the day before at a discounted price. Don’t miss out on the pizza though, the sausage and cauliflower one was delicious with a really fluffy thick crust, would definitely recommend!
