Spinach dip with potato chips that were not done in the middle. Ordered med-med well, this is rare. Fried shrimp no batter, waitess said they lightly batter, was cold. Will not return.

I just moved to Dunn recently and found this gem! Totally impressed by it. The food was phenomenal. We had steak, lobster, Mahi Mahi, and the salad bar!! Glad to know there is at least one place in Dunn that isn’t fast food or greasy southern stuff. (I’m southern, so I’m not hating on those places) The prices are absolutely reasonable. The steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster melted in my mouth. 1000% recommend.
If I had one critique for this place, it’s that the salad bar bowl should be at least twice the size they are. You can’t really pile your salad with vegetable or mix it around with the dressing when the bowl is about an inch tall and 4” inches diameter. The salad bar is what sold me on going in the first place and the bowl was about the size a 6 year old would need. The salad bar is huge with tons and tons of options, but there’s no way to actually make a salad with that size of a plate.

Let me explain some of the reviews. If you’re reading the reviews and expecting this is a Ruth’s Chris or a high end steak house, yes you may be disappointed.
But, if you go here expecting a wonderful, small town steak house, with great service, good food, and decent atmosphere, you’ll have a great experience.
Let’s start with the food. We ordered fried platters, the Scallops and Shrimp. We chose to get the salad bar as a side
The salad bar is unique. It’s packed with all kinds of offerings from your typical salad stuff to pickled okra, macaroni and potato salad. Plenty of dressing. But it’s not all you can eat, you get one trip, which honestly is plenty. But I appreciated it because I could choose what I wanted on my salad.
But, when the platters came to the table we couldn’t believe the amount of food. I don’t think I have ever seen the amount of scallops we were given on this platter. These were full size sea scallops, not bay scallops and we were given at least 12 if not more. The shrimp were smaller but about a pound. Both were crispy and fantastically breaded.
BUT the star of the plate was the twice baked potato ! It was fantastic! Hot, seasoned well and topped with cheese.
For service, Tristan (with a T), was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. The restaurant was packed but this guy was constantly checking on us, filling our drinks, clearing our plates and just chatting with us. All the while he has a table of 12-15 people he was also attending to. A master class in serving!
The atmosphere was a bit loud and very open. No booths to offer any privacy or such. But again, now you know.
Prices were also incredibly fair.
If you’re in Dunn, definitely give it a try

My husband and I have been coming to heat pretty much every week for a couple of years. Typically the food is very delicious especially their steaks and Prime rib. However when my husband and I went yesterday we immediately noticed that all their prices had been raised significantly including their salad bar. We ordered our meal and then went to the salad bar and I got salad and pasta salad. When we were finished with our meal we asked for take home boxes for our shrimp and leftover salad and the waitress told us that if we were to take home leftovers from the salad bar that it would have to be weighed first and we would be charged to take it out of the restaurant. This is completely ridiculous and we will not be coming back to this restaurant again because of that

The food is really good and the prices are fair. Staff are pretty nice. I went on a Saturday and got there just before 6 with no reservation and had to wait more than half an hour for a table of 6, and it was very busy. Not sure how often that’s the case, but the salad bar seemed like a good idea at first and I’d say I wouldn’t do that again if it’s busy like that. It seemed like everyone was in line, and they split up the salad bar line, but there’s no indication of that where you go to get in the part of the line connected to the salad bar.

First time here! It was amazing and soooo good. I forget our waitress’ name but she was SUPER friendly and kind. Food was 10/10 and would totally come again. She even comped my lava cake for my birthday. It wasn’t even that expensive!! Wound up about $90 for two steak meals, fried green beans, French onion soup, a glass of wine, and a lemon drop martini! Steak was cooked perfectly and so tasty.

The bartender Leah could not have done a better job! She was attentive, friendly, and ensured multiple times that I had everything I needed. The food was a little cold when I got it, but they were super busy (I think it was Homecoming or something) & Leah had to run to get the food herself. 5 Stars for Leah!
Update: I gave Heath’s another try since they were very busy on a Saturday, and came on a Wednesday. The food was delicious, the service was great (thank you Megan & Linda!) for going above and beyond to help me feel welcome & all the suggestions you gave me about & around Dunn. Very glad I gave it another try! Another 5 Stars for service, and the food was really good (and hot!).

Pretty good place to eat. I ordered my bone in ribye med it came out well done. They gladly offered to throw another one on the grill. I declined because it was still juicy well seasoned and tender. They took half off for the steak without me asking wich was really nice. Then We sat there without refills for for like 10 to 15 mins that was resolved. They were really busy..The ahai tuna app could have at least had like 5 more pieces for 12.99 there where 8 i think but was great. Don’t stress if the salad bar line gets really long it goes quickly. They have some one constantly restocking it and managing the line. We will be coming back!
