I had higher hopes for Wayback Burgers. It wasn’t bad, but it also didn’t quite live up to expectations. The burger itself was a little above average juicy and flavorful, with great topping options that really added to the experience. As you can see from the photos, it was a bit of a messy burger, but honestly, I love a good messy burger, so no complaints there!
The real disappointment came with the pickle chips. I ordered a large, but what I got barely looked like a handful. For the price, it definitely didn’t feel worth it. On top of that, they were way too salty so much so that we ended up throwing them out. Overall, the burger was enjoyable, but the sides and value left me underwhelmed.

Wayback Burgers in Aliana, Richmond TX has quickly become one of our family’s favorite spots! Not only are their burgers Halal, but they are also absolutely phenomenal – perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor every single time. Their shakes are a treat on their own — creamy, delicious, and a must-have with every meal. My kids absolutely love coming here or pick up a Togo order and it’s always the highlight of their week.
What truly makes this place stand out is the amazing service. Every time we visit, we are greeted warmly, and the staff makes us feel like valued guests. A special shoutout to Mustafa — he is always respectful, friendly, and goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great experience. We wanted to try something new and came across Wayback. Way better than we expected. Decent prices and the food was on point. Khoi was great. He had the right recommendations and was very friendly and fun to talk with. If you want a burger in this area I highly recommend.

Brisket is my food of choice only behind a burger because quality smoke brisket is hard to find daily. This is one of my go to burger spots in the area. Food is always fresh,hot, and made with quality in mind. The service as always been amazing for me and Khoi continued the standard on my last visit. A hidden gem. I truly only get hamburgers from Five Guys, Becks Prime, and Wayback in the Katy/Richmond Tx area if I can help it.

Khoi and Maria are great people. They offer amazing service, you never have worry about anything. Khoi especially is great with customer service, he never fails to make me enjoy my time in the restaurant.

Service was great. Food arrived quickly but the taste wasn’t great. The kids meal comes with two small tenders. Great for toddlers but would not be enough for bigger kid. The burger was not hot and fresh like I expected considering we were 1 out of 3 orders in the place. I got the single burger but it was small like a kid’s burger. I was expecting the patty to at least be the full size of the bun. My cheese could have been melted more. The onion rings were hot and fresh and were very tasty. Not sure we will go back considering the price and quality. Ramble Creek is down the road and you get a bigger single patty.
