This place deserves more than 5 stars. Food is amazing, staff is so caring and welcoming. Wine, woof! I had one of the most balanced Blanc de Blancs along with Albariño. I came here last minute following the nearby Spanish + tapas place rushing me (as a solo diner) to conclude my visit within one hour. All the staff at VARA were welcoming, treated me as a friend, appreciated my business, AND the cocktails and wine were top notch. Very cute place near the main town square but tucked away in a quiet corner. Very friendly staff and great wine options. Also, super pet friendly – it was very windy on the patio so they let our pup hang out inside with us. The chef also stopped by to ask if we were happy with the food and chatted with us for a while. We didn’t eat anything, just shared a couple of tastings on our anniversary! We also took whiskey to-go! By far the BEST old fashion I’ve ever had! There’s a chocolate-cinnamon simple syrup they made and now I’m chasing the delicious high this drink took me on when I first had it. Hopefully we will be back in town next year for more! Thanks again we were the only ones in on a rainy afternoon. Very comfortable setting to enjoy the presence of my honey. The workers are very knowledgeable and friendly and we got to chatting about the north and pokemon! Thanks again for an awesome start to our romantic night on the town!
