They are serving up the most delicious Improper Charcuterie Board. It really is a BBQ lovers dream with all the meats, warm pimento cheese, hush puppies, slaw, etc. They also offer 6 sauces to take everything to the next level! I enjoyed all of them but the vinegar based has a peppery note that is fantastic! The must tries include the Twice Baked Jalapeños, Banana Pudding (the hubby’s absolute favorite), Smoked Half Chicken, Pork Rolls, and of course the Cobbler of the Month (November’s flavor is a cozy Cranberry Apple which was so yummy!)
And don’t sleep on their fall sips: a crisp, refreshing Sake 75 and a total flavor bomb Sangria that delivers full autumn vibes in a glass.
Cameron & his team were so accommodating & had some great recommendations! The service, the atmosphere, the music selection & especially the food were spot on! Already planning our next visit.

The atmosphere and decor is what makes this location a super cool place to have a meal. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t to busy at all. The service was friendly and our waitress seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Relaxing environment. They are not to big on coffee however, they didn’t have much creamer available and the coffee was served super strong, but that’s not their speciality so give them a pass. Our selection included the Buttermilk Skillet and the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Both entrees were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. I could have used one additional slice of bacon with my pancake (they served two) and my partnered would have liked additional sauce on the Pulled Pork. They do offers a variety of different flavored sauces for one’s desire. They have ample seating for larger parties and the outdoor terrace is also perfect for an afternoon brunch on the weekends. All around 4.5 stars. The waitresses smile and attitude makes up for their coffee shortfall, so let’s just say they earned 5 stars IMO. Will return.

I like the fusion BBQ meals on the menu, although I feel you needed the sauce to really have flavor. The meats were very plain. The sides, however, were amazing. Decent sodas. A bit pricey but service was solid. This is a bit far for me to visit regularly, but enjoyed it overall. I’d recommend the hush puppy appetizer to share, anything with pickled onions, the sweet potato casserole, baked beans, and the mustard sauce as my favorites.

Wife and I stopped in for a quick bite on a Tuesday evening. We shared an appetizer and salad. We were seated immediately. Ordered the nachos with brisket, Ceasar salad and cheese grits. Everything came out together and quickly. Service was fantastic, getting me drink refills without asking. Overall a very good experience.

I really enjoyed this place. The nachos are amazing. I also enjoyed the ribs and the sweet potato fries . The pork and sausage were both tasty. The brisket was the only thing I did not care for. I enjoyed all the different bbq sauce bottles on the table as well.

Not often do I see a barbecue restaurant that can combine Asian fusion in BBQ and also nail the Carolina style vinegar BBQ sauce. The pork roll with the tony Thai sauce surprised me! Can’t go wrong if with the 2 platter if you’re asking to eat big. Will be coming back again

Great food, great atmosphere!! The manger Cameron is very attentive, caring, and friendly. He suggested the pork rolls and they were AMAZING!! The sauces to dip them in were phenomenal and paired very well. The improper ceased is such a tasteful salad. I recommend the green beans and collards. You will love them! I can’t say enough good things about the cleanliness of this location, the flavorful food, and the amazing service. They also have amazing merchandise which I bought!

I had been to The Improper Pig a few years back at a different location. This was a great lunch. The food was excellent. We ordered the Charcuterie Board BBQ. EXCELLENT!! My wife and I shared it and had enough leftover for another meal. The brisket was incredibly tender, the pork was nicely chopped, and the ribs were nicely charred and tender. The sausage was very delicious. There was little to no fat on the meat. With various sauces to try on the meat, it made for a great tasty lunch. The fries were good, and the homemade chips were delicious. The cole slaw was mayo based and tasted fresh. Our appetizer was the pork eggrolls. I feel that we got quality and quantity for our money.
