One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time dining out. The food was phenomenal was served by Elliot Moy, the chef.
Spent a ton of time asking us questions and telling us about the menu and how the make everything fresh.
Took his recommendations and was not disappointed. He made the dish to order with custom spicy level and he nailed it for me.
Can’t wait to bring all my family and friends back. The atmosphere is great. The service was great and it’s hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had.
Thank you for the great night Elliot Moy. You are truly one of a kind and there is a reason your family has been in business this long.
Can’t wait to come back.

My goodness, I can not quantify how amazed we were by our first experience at Harvey Moys. We were first time guests and the menu while impressive, offers more then you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Duck, an impressive steak dish, and others. We had the egg rolls and crab ragoons for appetizers. Egg rolls are by far the most we have ever had and the crab ragoon actually had a crab in it, not just cream cheese. Elliot Moy came out personally from the kitchen introduced himself and asked about what we like. He ended up making us something using the answers to our questions. The customer service touch and passion for his craft was next level professional excellence.
One of best dining experiences I have ever had and most certainly the gold standard for Chinese food.

This is not your everyday run of the mill typical Chinese restaurant. Harvey Moys is a one of a kind Chinese cuisine experience. My mom grew up in Menomonee Falls. And fell in love with Harveys. So ever since I was born we would travel back to Harvey Moys from Oshkosh for my birthday every year and just because there is nothing like it in the Fox Valley. Sadly my mom has passed but I still make the trip every year on my birthday and whenever I get the urge. It is well worth the hour + trip! Everything is made fresh and delicious! Their soup is fresh, the broth is light and nothing like the ‘regular’ Chinese restaurant’s soups that coagulate before your eyes. The egg rolls.. oh my gosh! They are huge. Crisped to perfection, and filled to the brim with fresh ingredients. Back in the day Harveys was a buffet. So it’s difficult to have to choose just one dish. But I always stick to my absolute favorites… Sweet and sour chicken with Hong Kong noodles. The breading on the chicken is crispy and savory. The best breading I’ve ever had. The chicken tastes fresh, the pieces are very big and nothing like the left over scraps most Chinese restaurants hide under their breading. The sweet and sour sauce is to die for. It’s yellow, creamy, savory.. my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Now, the Hong Kong noodles… Whenever I’m asked “if you were trapped on an island and could only have one food, what would it be”? I always say Harvey Moys Hong Kong noodles with his sweet and sour sauce. That’s how good they are! It’s hard to describe them but they are thin, light, dry and packed with a flavor that’ll make you drive an hour to eat them.
The atmosphere is charming, romantic and exotic. Featuring beautiful vases, ivory art, Chinese lanterns, Chinese dragon heads and the walls are covered in pictures of the charismatic owner, Harvey, with the many celebrities that have patronized his establishment. Bob Eucker was a regular and even has his favorite duck dish named in his honor.
The prices are more than reasonable for the huge portions, the genuinely unique and delicious dishes he offers.
If you ever want real Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend Harvey Moys! You will not be disappointed I guarantee it!
I wish I would have taken more pictures but as soon as those Hong Kong noodles hit the table, my fork hit the plate and I didn’t look up until I was filled to the brim!
I almost forgot to tell you not to forget the giant Buddha belly for good luck!

We ordered for the first time on Friday night. I’ve always been told Harvey Moy’s is the best place for Chinese food. The egg rolls were the only food that had any flavor to them. We had two orders if orange chicken and the sauce was not flavorful and there was a lot of sauce compared to chicken. The Harvey Moy’s special fried rice an zero flavor. It tasted like white rice. We were very excited to try Harvey Moy’s but we were greatly disappointed it did not live up to it’s reputation at all.

We recently had dinner here for a birthday. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. Harvey is an old school restaurant owner who shows appreciation for his customers. I will always go back to Harvey Moy’s for dine in or carry out.

My husband and I stopped into Harvey Moy’s for the first time and it was amazing! The server was so welcoming and friendly and the dining area was clean and well decorated. I must say I am extremely shocked – for the prices of the meals, they have HUGE portions! We ordered the egg roll and soup add on for only $3 and the egg roll was the biggest we’ve seen. All made fresh. We tried two different soups – Wonton and Egg Drop. While those were not our favorite (first time trying) everything else was on point. The Crab Rangoons were my favorite and we’re massive. One Rangoon was the size of 2-3 typical ones elsewhere. They were stuffed with more crab than cream cheese, a true deal. We were full by the time our entrees came around! The Orange Chicken was crunchy and sweet and the Mongolian Beef with Fun Chow noodles were tasty. We brought a ton of leftovers (three containers!) back to the hotel. Outstanding flavor and service. Even more, we got a cookie with our bill!

Food was a joke. Really??!! Spaghetti was used for lo mein?!! And bland on top of that!! Peking Duck was ok, just not worth $27. I’ve had better elsewhere. Sweet and sour chicken was mediocre. Fried rice was bland. Not worth the $66 I paid. Sorry. First and last time.

The food is awesome! It’s great to order Chinese off a menu as it’s rare to find a full service Chinese restaurant these days instead of a buffet. Harvey Moys did not disappoint.
We started with Mai Tais and ordered the dinner for two and OMG it was SOOO much food. By the time the main entrees arrived, we were nearly stuffed! We took a lot of food home!
We had egg drop soup, then an appetizer plate with chicken delight, kowloon beef, crab meat ragoon. And you could tell these were home made ragoons with big chunks of crab meat! Next came Sizzling Shrimp, Sesame Chicken, and Chicken Fried Rice. They brought the dishes one at a time, family style, and the plates were piled high! Finally we had almond cookies for dessert which we love and couldn’t have eaten anything larger than that!
We will definitely go back!

We had an exceptionally wonderful server, very attentive, sweet and kind. We have tried several different dishes and everything has been delicious, however, we really love the pressed duck, current favorite…. you cannot find the dish in very many restaurants anymore and Harvey’s does it very well. Also their egg rolls are stellar, best around! We visited on a Thursday night and they had a special that included an egg roll and a cup of soup. Very fair pricing. If you haven’t tried Harvey Moy’s, you are missing out!
