Excellent food. I had 3 small plates: crab cakes, tater tots (out of this world!), and calamari. My wife had the scallops. We brought home food for our grandson. We’ll be going back again tomorrow. Want to try their 3 types of french fries, desserts, Macn- Cheese (made with special cheese, apple & bacon). Very good food for a neighborhood bistro. We couldn’t bring our 2 year old grandson because he would want to jump into the water fountains. So we’ll bring stuff home.

Having the good fortune to be well-traveled matched by superb restaurants and cuisine at all levels, I’d like to write that the restaurant was better than it was. The appetizers were good: crabcakes and ceviche. Nicely done. Ordered a bottle of wine from the short wine list that should have been expanded to include not only a wider selection of wines but more select offerings. The list only spoke to me that branded names, rather than sought after wines, were to be shown. A bit lazy and not enough attention.

Entrees, potato wrapped salmon and cioppino + Ceasar’s salad, at $4 extra for a $23 dinner, were ordered. The salmon was good but the cioppino seriously overpriced and under delivered in taste that could have been enhanced as a house signature. When the wait person brought the Ceasar salad, no cracked pepper was brought or asked for. Had to wait until the waiter arrived and he was surprised, too. The salad as tasteless, as well.

Now for dessert. Only the creme brulee was ordered but when it came, it was clear that it was pre-made, lacked the finesse that should be expected for this dessert and was, again overpriced. It was asked what kind of tea was available and the waiter stumbled trying to remember what was available for the diner to make a choice instead of saying that he’d bring a selection that I could choose from.

The ambiance of the ‘S.F.bistro’ style is just OK. Don’t expect warmth, conversation quiet or leisurely dining. If only the restaurant toned down the value vs the cost…

This Place is closed. This is a new location for upcoming Italian restaurant (Tutto Fresco). Tutto Fresco is going to gut the whole place and make its better place. Looking forward for this new change.
