Placed order upon arrival, customer service was acknowledged friendly as usual however once I made it to my less than ten minutes away destination tripe was under cooked, burnt grease taste just horrible also purchased two boxes of four piece wings with up grade sweet potatoes fries. Chicken was fried hard with and fries that I had paid extra for were very dark in color not fresh. Please do better as I come from across the bridge pass up the one location out here in my area to take with me into another north county lounge establishment.

Hot Honey Chicken Wings ! Delicious! The chicken was crispy, flavorful and fell off the bone. This was my first time visit at any Vails Brothers so I had no idea what to expect. The restaurant itself is small yet efficient with a counter and chairs if you want to enjoy your meal onsite. Otherwise order takeout. Service was excellent, her recommendation of Hot Honey Wings was spot on and with a smile. Good food takes time so be patient, it’s worth a little wait. More importantly, supporting a local family owned business is always worth it.

I am writing regarding an order I placed tonight for catfish and fries. I normally have a good experience ordering from your location, which is why tonight’s order was disappointing.
When I opened my food, it was clear that the fish was not freshly cooked. The batter was old, so dark that you could tell and the appearance made it obvious that it had been refried rather than freshly prepared. Because of this, I called the store to express my concern.
When I spoke with the employee who answered the phone, I was told that all food had been cooked fresh all day. While I understand that may be the standard practice, the condition of my order did not reflect freshly cooked food.
I wanted to bring this to your attention because I am a regular customer and normally expect better quality.

I had been craving a tripe sandwich and heard that this was the best place to get one, but it was horrible and couldn’t eat it. I asked for crispy and mine was soft.. yuck! Guess I should’ve asked for extra crispy, but I was scared it would be overcooked at that point. The fries were really good, but the price online was more than what they were advertising on the little whiteboard on the counter. Although I’m upset about the tripe. I will give it another chance and try the tripe extra crispy. I’m still craving one 🙁

First time visiting this location and the store was clean and I was greeted upon entry. Me and my spouse got the wings and fries and it was a total disappointment. I’ve never had chicken this greasy in my life. I kid you not. .you could squeeze it and see the grease which took away from the flavor of the chicken. My spouse threw it up. Won’t be back to this location…Delmar location was better.

I ordered online twice and they did not disappoint and the food it so fresh. The tripe sandwich is so crispy and no pull just pure crisp and satisfaction. They accommodate you if there is a mixup with your order. Fries are fresh and wings are very nice. Food tastes clean and no taste of old grease on fried items. Respect to the business.

The tripe was cooked PERFECTLY!!! The sweet potato fries were soooo addictively good & flavored just right! The wings were pretty decent. My only critique “everything was just a little too greasy.” But that banana pudding cake was flippin- moist, soft, delicious and takes your mind to an Auntie house down south!

I was a little disappointed I have been here twice both times I was unable to call in my order. I wanted Shrimp and fries only to get there and find out it’s only available on Fridays. So I ordered tenders and fries with a cheese cup. The tenders were dry, unseasoned, and overcooked. And the cheese cup was watery. It’s my hope that they do better in the future.

I ordered 6 whole wings Fries, Roll & Sweet Potato Fries. Wings were decent. Wing Sauce made Sweet Potatoes fries Soggy due to brown counter it was in . Maybe some dividers would help avoid that issue in the near future. Sweet was burnt and soggy.
