The bad reviews are honest because I had a bad experience as well so I’d agree with them. Went for my B day & decided I’ll have hookah which is overpriced especially since it isn’t good! Other people said it taste burnt & it did. I wish I never got hookah & just had one drink. I ordered two drinks (Margaritas)$20 which were good! You’re better off going for happy hour which the drinks are probably not gonna be strong but they are $10 buy 1 get one free.thats the only time I’d consider going back. I also ordered a frozen drink which taste like it had no alcohol in it at all for $25 NEVER again. The Bar tender wasn’t really friendly and clearly didn’t know how to make a $25 frozen drink. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was just ok. probably would have taste better if I didn’t have the burnt taste of hookah on my mouth. It was my b day & I had left Sojo spa nearby to enjoy myself. As I said I wish I only ordered one drink & left. The added Gratuity then they ask u to also leave a tip which I didn’t because u already added it & also charge a card fee. No regrets,just a lesson to not come again unless it’s happy hour. Nothing to brag about here.

so he and my husband went here for valentine’s day long story short we waited a hour for our food , meal was suppose to come with mashed potatoes they decided to just give us french fries didn’t even tell us they ran out of mash potatoes , my mixed vegetables was not even cooked , asked for bread while we waited for our food we had to wait til the food came out to get it (a hour) , they include gratuity into the bill ($40 dollar tip) for a horrible waiter. manager did take off my meal from the bill but it was valentine’s day i would’ve rather had a good dinner with my husband ruined the whole date night & OVERPRICED IS HELL 0/10 DONT GO HERE

The plain pizza and falafel were good, but the salad that came with it was just chopped tomatoes. The spinach dip was a little too watery but tasted good overall. Cocktails were really good, though everything overall seemed a little overpriced. We had a pleasant experience at the location.

Located in Edgewater, this place is located in a huge mall and there’s an abundance of parking space available which is a big plus!
The restaurant is pretty high scale and the ambience is happening inside, the crowd seems to be pretty upscale over here!
The service was pretty quick also the server was polite.
The food could be improved upon as personally it didn’t feel much out of the world kinda stuff for such kind of place. We had ordered Mediterranean pizza, garlic bread and calamari!
The pizza was good due to the toppings but the dough felt too bready whereas the garlic bread was crispy enough. I liked the calamari though, it was fried to perfection and oil was drained out well.. wish they provided a bit more of sauce on the side given the quantity of calamari!
Overall a nice place to chill out but felt like a one time visit!

I don’t know who Sebastian is, and I don’t care. I’ve always come to Spirit to celebrate with friends and family, but with the terrible treatment Sebastian gave us, I don’t think I can ever go back. I don’t understand why the owner allows or employs someone so rude and ill-mannered in this position, as it reflects poorly on him and his business. I went to this place to eat something; I can’t drink alcohol because I recently had surgery. This man kicked us out of the establishment, saying that because we had come from another business, he couldn’t serve us anything, and he told us in a very rude way to leave. I don’t think I could ever come back to this place after the embarrassment and unpleasant experience Sebastian put us through. I work in the media, and I’m going to make sure everyone knows what happened today with this man named Sebastian so that all the people I know never go back, or if they’re thinking of going, they don’t, so they don’t have to go through the same bad experience I did.

I went there w my girlfriend for 1 drink. We knew we would only have one and done and decided we would have a clase azul with a big cube. I’m familiar with clase azul so I figured the 1 round would cost approximately $100 and I was good with that. The bartender poured us 1 drink each with a big cube and in no time at all, we finished and asked for the check. Unbeknownst to me, the bill was $171 because they included a 25% gratuity and credit card fees. You guys got over on us and nothing feels worst than being ripped off. Like I said, I was prepared to spend about $100 but $171 is literally robbery especially without an explanation beforehand. The bottle in the store is $169.99, how dare you guys treat people like that. I will never ever go back again! Hope it was worth it!!!

Wanted to visit this place for a while since I love good hookah and cocktails. They offer table hookah for 45$ which is very expensive for that size but they offer to take it with you at no charge – not a bad option to compensate the price . However- they don’t put ceramic bowl when they give it to you to go – slightly disappointing. Cocktails are good but overpriced as well (16-18$ each). I’ve paid same price for 4 cocktails and hookah in this lounge seating on a couch penetrated by coals as I’ve paid in upscale Envue rooftop for 2 entrees and 3 cocktails with NYC skyline views

By reading these reviews for Spirit bar and restaurant, it definitely seems like a hit or miss. What I can say for a group of 3, we had an excellent experience from the moment we walked in to we left. Our waitress was extremely nice and truly knows the menu when we asked questions. From ordering drinks, to the apps and main dishes, everything was brought out in prefect time of each other. We started off with the muscles and garlic bread with white wine sauce, absolutely delicious! We wanted more. I got the filet mignon that came with bok choy and mashed potatoes, amazing cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the lobster tail came with potatoes and veggies, she loved it! Would eat again. My other friend ordered the fig goat cheese arugula and prosciutto pizza. By looking at it honestly I thought it was not going to be good. It just seem so thrown together, like no effort went into making the pizza. But I have to say it was delicious. She enjoyed her pizza and would get again. I would absolutely come back again and would recommend this restaurant bar. One thing I have to say that the hookah was way over priced. I definitely would not get that again. Drinks are a bit expensive as well. They are good but not worth 15$.
