Best Burrito in West Michigan, hands down. Staff is always friendly, atmosphere is always great, and food is always out in a flash. Enjoy your chips and fresh salsa while you wait

El Agave is a really good original Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere and decor is clean and tasteful, the service is cheerful and prompt. Menu is large like you would expect, as are the portions, but the food is a notch above your average Mexican eatery.

My mother and her partner like to frequent this place. Their food is good and the service is great. They have a very family feel to the restaurant.
Their drinks are very good and the food seems fairly authentic.
The mini nachos were a little spicy for my 5 year old, but she thinks everything is spicy.
I’m pretty sure the kids mac and cheese is just Easy Mac. The powder was not stirred in well
I definitely cleaned my plate.

El Agave is located on Northern Drive in Grand Rapids Michigan.
The restaurant is extremely clean, very well stocked bar, there is plenty of tequila, bourbon, vodka, as well as other hard liquor.
There are plenty of booths, tables or You can also sit at the bar.
I had the Mucho grande burrito, my friend had the chimichanga.
Gabby waited on us. She was amazing!
I would go back just for her service alone!
Gabby was extremely friendly, she went above me on to make sure we were taken care of!
Our food was spectacular.
The food came out very quickly with a huge portion along with sides.
I highly recommend El Agave!
The prices are fair, plenty of options an amazing service as for Gabby!

I’ve lived 3 miles from this place for 10 years. My first visit was last month. I’m kicking myself for all this time lost.
What an amazing place. I’m telling you, this is authentic food. Homestyle, and you can feel love in every bite. I went there on an empty stomach so I could try a few things. Every and I mean every item I had was spot on amazing.
If you want authentic family style food. Here it is!

This is our favorite restaurant! Great service, outstanding food, and always so fast. I dream of the cheese dip at night. If I’m ever on death row, part of my last meal will be a taco de carne asada from El Agave!

We stop in for lunch 2 or 3 times a month. Lunch specials are almost always great and staff acts like they are happy to see us. The tacos are second to none. Love this place!

This is a pic of the steak and chicken for my fajitas. It was chopped up into many pieces. I’ve never had fajita meat like this before. It’s always cut into strips. There was no seasoning on the meat at all. I won’t be back. Smh

Absolutely disgusted at the way we were treated this evening. Our server ignored us and refused to refill our soda after we only had one refill. When I pointed out that soda has free refills on the menu, the manager said we had “too many Diet Cokes and they would lose money”. When I shared that our server had rudely ignored us and that we would not be back, the manager said “Ok” and then took a personal call on her cell. The owner was also there and heard our exchange and did nothing. Do yourself a favor and go a mile down the road to Acapulco or Tacos Cunado.

This was my first time ordering El Agave. I live in this area and drive past it all the time and I usually don’t see it very busy, but after finally feeling almost better from being sick for the past 5 days, I thought it’d be good to get some local Mexican food. I ordered for pickup and when I arrived, I walked in and did not see anyone. There wasn’t a bell to ring or anything, then I saw one of the staff and told him I had a to go order. I got the nachos al carbon and when I saw it, it did not look appetizing. Everything just looked bland and not fresh at all and it was a heap of thinly sliced steak and chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream on top of chips that I could not see because they were buried at the bottom. I started eating it and it tasted fine except for the tomatoes that tasted very old and there was a soupy mess of sour cream at the bottom. I ate part of it, but threw the rest out. I will not be going back to El Agave.
