I don’t know why anyone would eat anywhere else in the St. Louis area. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I’d walk back here from Indiana to eat it! Buffet is spectacular. Amazing Mac and cheese, grilled bbq pork chops, chicken, veggies and other delicious finds! Oh, and the bread is phenomenal. It is served with special garlic butter that is out of this world. I rarely post reviews but Ravanellis is so amazing I can’t help myself. Get the buffet, you won’t be disappointed. Note: they list their buffet selections online but we were pleasantly surprised by the items they didn’t have listed online. Don’t hesitate, eat here!! weekends are $2 extra for buffet.

The food was pretty tasty as well. A little pricey for pasta but I’ll have to admit that it was way better than average in taste. I thought the salad bar was a bit limited to things I don’t put on a salad and I don’t enjoy green pepper in my chili. A definite step up from your typical mom and pop diner.

Service was great and they have many selections to choose from. Word of warning-the portions are HUGE! Prepare to share or take leftovers home. My sister and I had pasta dishes with white sauces and unfortunately they weren’t great. Very heavily spiced on top and I am still not sure if it was parsley or what. It ruined the taste. Hers too. However the lasagna looked amazing and tasting confirmed it. The fried chicken did too. Very crispy. I wish I had wanted dessert because they had pies that looked phenomenal!!! Worth a second try!

We had ten people from our grade school class of 1973 and we had the buffet here. The food was great! The waitresses we’re so kind and attentive to our drinks, etc. We closed the place down and not once did they act like we should hurry and leave. We had our last get together here as well and they always accommodate us so warmly. Thanks Ravenelli’s!! We’ll be back!!

Lots of tables so it’s a good place for meeting. Very large selection on the menu as well as a very large Buffet. The buffet had choices of chicken beef pork and several different vegetables so pretty well-rounded as well as salad and they even had a wonderful sugar-free dessert! Prices are very reasonable we had a party of three in our bill was $35 for us all to eat at the buffet.

We love this place, especially the chicken. We remember when they opened in 1964. Always outstanding food with just a few hiccups along the way. There is no other chicken to compare to their chicken. It is wonderful! My only complaint is that no one answers my emails or phone calls regarding the birthday club. There used to be one, maybe still is. We come from an hour away and would appreciate an answer as this has been our destination for birthdays for many years. Also we’re not getting notifications anymore.

Great service and hardly a wait. We had the buffet, which was decently priced. The food was fresh, and kept full.
The chicken was moist, the mostaccioli tastefully spiced, and the salad was crisp, not wilted.
The dessert selection was just as plenteous and tasty. Add to that the fantastic wait staff, our experience was one that will bring us back again.
