Update: (2/17/26) Ate in restaurant this time (have been ordering from Pizza Grille for delivery many times since last review!) Greeted warmly, seated quickly. Love all the choices of foods. I had their absolutely delicious hamburger on a gluten free bun with mozzarella cheese, spinach, tomato, and onion. Highly recommended! Ate their gluten free carrot cake for dessert. Scrumptious! Great atmosphere that’s quiet enough for conversations! Excellent wait staff. Gotta bring my family! (Also got a gluten free lump crab pizza for take-out. Delicious!)
I was so happy to find many choices for gluten free! Today I decided to order (online) the large House Salad adding chickpeas and black olives on as well. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. I also ordered the gluten free Carnivore pizza with chicken, pepperoni and meatballs. Scrumptious! So good I’ll definitely be ordering this again!

While visiting Pennsylvania for work, one of our local coworkers recommended this spot.
First Impressions:
The parking lot was a bit small, but the building–both inside and out–was clean, spacious, and offered plenty of seating.
Service:
Our waiter was excellent–friendly and helpful.He recommended a few menu items and made us feel welcome.
Food:
I ordered a pizza with hot honey, and it was delicious. The hot honey in particular was amazing and really stood out. The pizza was a little greasy, but still very enjoyable.
Overall:
Great first visit. I’ll definitely be back to try one of their subs or burgers next time.

It was pretty good food. Got the seafood. Was cooked well but didnt have a lot of flavor or seasoning. Lot of interesting pizza options but not many normal options or combos you would love at a pizza place. Pizza was good. Have had it before. Just wish they had some combinations more to my likeing I would visit more.

On my way through Carlisle for the night, I googled “gluten-free Carlisle PA”, and The Pizza Grille appeared at the top of the list. Good choice.
In spite of the name, this is a table-service restaurant (with carry-out). It seemed favored by locals on that Friday night. The atmosphere was light and crisp. A trio of women brought their own wine (BYOB is reportedly common in Carlisle) and enjoyed a long leisurely evening. A few couples old enough to no longer have children were there, and later nine young men (possibly a team) shared pizzas and one long table. Our host was alert and attentive without being obtrusive.
I chose the gluten-free crab cake dinner and was delighted with the result. The meal was not merely served but plated, with due attention to presentation. The crab cake was fittingly large enough to be the entrée and was delicious. With it on the plate were a copious set of lightly dressed greens and some roasted fingerling potatoes. I also ordered a gluten-free pepperoni to take on the road next day; another good choice.
I finished the evening with the delightful gluten-free cheesecake, although I had to call for a box to take the remainder home with me. It was a great and relaxing night out!

First time there. Was quickly seated on the patio. Chairs are metal but shaped well so they were still comfortable.
The server was very attentive and never had to wait for a drink refills.
Menu is laid out well, however I was a bit confused about the grilled chicken BLT pricing vs what I paid to get a regular grilled chicken and add tomato and brioche bun. If I would of known I would get charged 1.50 for tomato I would of just paid the extra 50 cent for the bacon. I ordered a small carnivore(3 meat) pizza and a grilled chicken sandwich which came with a side salad and my wife ordered a steak salad. As you can see in the pictures portion sizes were great. I asked for my chicken to be cooked well done and they got it exactly right. Side salad was great, brioche bun was also nicely toasted. Pizza was honestly one of the best ive ever tasted. The ingredients tasted premium and the crust had just a slight sweetness that really hit the spot.
Will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough good about the event we recently held at the Carlisle Pizza Grille. I reached out to the Pizza Grille in February for a rehearsal dinner to be held in June. I met with the Assistant Manager Jeff and Manager Stacy and from minute one they were on board to make our 80 person gathering the best it could be. And they delivered!
Jeff worked with me to develop a menu sure to please anyone. He went the extra mile and ordered tablecloths to dress the space for the special occasion. The groundwork for the event had me hopeful that all would go well.
Well it exceeded my expectations. The room was set up perfectly. The service was friendly, fast, professional and efficient. And the food was incredible. Brett, Kelsey and Erica took care of our crew with smiles and the best service from start to finish. The kitchen did an amazing job. Eighty people ordered from a menu of over 20 items all at the same time. The staff behind the scenes delivered delicious, hearty portioned meals.
I would highly recommended this venue for lunch, dinner, happy hour and more. Great space, great service, great food. Thank you Jeff, Brett, Kelsey, Erica, Stacy and kitchen staff for making our evening perfect.

This place has great pizza and huge amazing salads. We were driving across the state and stopped to go to the gym after our workout we were very hungry and because I avoid gluten, we needed to find somewhere. The Pizza Grille was a surprising gem. The pizza flavors are all so interesting. We took home so much pizza but it was worth it. I would come back if we come through this way again.

From the moment we walked in the staff made us feel at home, seating was in a open patio setting so we enjoyed a sunny view with a nice breeze. Pizzas were special, the crab appetizer pizza should be a must get for anyone who likes seafood. I myself also had the #27 Meat Lovers option of 3 meats your choice, plenty of options. I had the Italian Chicken Sausage with Pepperoni and Bacon, I will be back soon!!
