I recently went to Main Event to celebrate my nephew’s birthday, and we honestly had such a great time. I wasn’t sure what to expect since it was a Saturday night, but we ended up coming at the perfect time—right before the big crowd started rolling in. That made a huge difference because we were able to check in, get settled, and start bowling without any waiting or chaos. If you’re planning a visit, especially for a weekend night, I definitely recommend getting there a little early like we did.

The bowling part was a blast. The lanes were clean, the lighting was fun but not too distracting, and the music kept the energy high without being overbearing. It had that perfect mix of excitement and family-friendly vibes. The kids had a great time using the bumpers and lighter bowling balls, and even the adults got into a little friendly competition. The equipment worked perfectly, and when we needed help setting up the game, the staff was right there and super friendly. You could tell they were used to handling birthday parties and big groups—they made everything feel smooth and easy.

After a few rounds of bowling, we headed over to the arcade area, which was just as much fun, maybe even more. The variety of games was impressive—everything from racing simulators and air hockey to basketball hoops and the always-popular claw machines. The kids could’ve spent hours in there (and honestly, I think they did!). One of my personal favorites was the photobooth. It’s such a simple thing, but it ended up being a highlight of the night. We squeezed in as many people as we could and took a bunch of silly pictures that had everyone laughing. It was such a fun way to capture memories from the night, and the photo strips made for a great little keepsake.

The prize store was another big hit. The kids loved trading in their tickets and carefully deciding which prizes to get. The store had a great selection—everything from candy and fidget toys to bigger prizes for people who racked up more tickets. Watching my nephew’s face light up as he picked out his prize was priceless. It really made the whole experience feel complete.

We didn’t get a chance to eat a full meal there, but we did grab a few snacks and drinks between games. The service was friendly, though by the time the evening rush hit, the lines got noticeably longer. That’s honestly the only reason I’m giving this place four stars instead of five. Once it got later into the night, it became pretty crowded and noisy, and it took longer to get food or play certain games. It wasn’t unmanageable, but you could definitely feel the difference between when we arrived and when we left.

That said, even with the crowd, the energy was still really positive. The staff stayed upbeat and patient, which I really appreciated. You can tell Main Event puts a lot of effort into making it a fun, welcoming place for families and groups of all ages.

All in all, it was an awesome experience. Between the bowling, the arcade games, the photobooth, and the prize store, there was never a dull moment. My nephew and his friends had an amazing birthday, and everyone left smiling (and maybe a little tired from all the excitement). I can definitely see us coming back again—maybe for another birthday, or just a fun weekend outing. Next time, though, we’ll make sure to come early again to beat the evening rush.

If you’re looking for a place that combines games, food, and great vibes for all ages, Main Event is definitely worth checking out

I’ve come to this location several times and always have more fun than I expect. The food is good, but we try to not spend too much on that and buy more gameplays instead. It seems like a fun place to have a birthday party. The bowling lanes are always clean and I haven’t had any issues with the machines. You can bowl, play laser tag, and mini golf with someone or alone. The arcade games are also fun and there’s a generous amount of multiplayer options.

Celebrated a birthday here. Party of 14+. Our waitress, Morgan, was kind and attentive. Ordered Loaded Queso for appetizer, Smashed Burger Taco for entree and Tropical Rum Punch for cocktails. Had two lanes for bowling. Will return for other events.

I had a great time at Main Event on Wednesday, March 4th! The atmosphere was fun and energetic, and everything was well organized. A big shoutout to our host, Kade, who did an amazing job keeping everyone engaged and making sure we were having a great time. She was friendly, attentive, and really helped make the experience memorable.
The games, food, and overall vibe were awesome, but Kade’s positive attitude and great hosting truly stood out. She was very patient with our guest, one young man in particular she helped keep him focus and made him feel special. She also able to relate, this allowed me to focus on the rest of the guest at the party. If you’re looking for a fun place to hang out with friends or family, Main Event is definitely worth visiting. Thanks for such a great night!

William (Will.I.Am) was a FANTASTIC server. So jolly and happy even though it was super late. His smile was infectious! I love him and the gentleman at the front Justin. Please consider a RAISE for them. They went above and beyond for us.

First off the hours on Google are incorrect. We arrived at 10 as Google said they opened at 10. When we arrived we were told they open at 11. I had my 4 yr old grandson so to wait another hour was not fun. I explained it was our first time to visit and she explained that we could pick how long we wanted to . We paid to bowl for an hour. They got us set up said to let them know when we’re ready to order so after about 20 minutes we called her over and placed a drink order. She came back to let us that there were no servers and we would have to go to bar to order. Ok well I paid for an hour of bowling I didn’t want to spend 15 minutes going to get a drink. I later discovered what may have been bowling ramps. That could’ve assisted my four-year-old grandson, but we were never told about them or offered one. Even the light weight balls were heavy for him. We had planned to eat but after the fiasco with the drinks we left after our bowling time and went to eat somewhere else. Just wasn’t the best experience for our first time. I felt the workers could’ve done more to explain our options and bring food and drinks especially since we were playing on a timed based.

Definitely a place for family to have fun. Enjoy eating along with video games, pool, and bowling. The waiters cater to your needs while you enjoy your game of bowling. Tacos weren’t that great but the hamburger was good.

It felt like stepping into an arcade from a parallel universe—one where the bowling lanes reign supreme and the rest of the fun quietly retired for the evening. The adventure began on a high note: greeted at the door with a smile and plenty of open lanes, I was momentarily convinced I’d stumbled into a hidden gem off I-45. The alley stretched out like a neon runway of possibilities. But alas, the glitter faded fast. The arcade, once a kingdom of buttons and blinking lights, now feels more like a quiet village. The game selection has clearly thinned over the years—almost as much as the mysteriously shrinking skee balls.Somewhere between nostalgia and mild confusion, I wandered to the prize counter… only to find no one manning the fort. Fifteen minutes passed, and the prizes gleamed from behind the counter like treasure I wasn’t meant to claim. After flagging down a friendly but bewildered employee, the wait continued a little longer—ultimately clocking in at twenty minutes for a single redemption. Then came the final boss battle: the cost. Let’s just say, if your idea of fun includes spending premium prices for value-sized game time, this might be your arena. For me, though, the math—and the magic—didn’t quite add up.So, while Main Event Shenandoah still shines under the bowling lane lights, it feels like the sparkle elsewhere has taken a bit of a break.
