Best Mexican food around. Reminds me of my grandma and back home in Arizona. Definitely try the tres leche cake you won’t be disappointed by anything on the menu but especially the cake. Tortas and gorditas are our family favorites.

El Alacrán Taquería is just okay. It has some good and bad aspects to it, and unfortunately the bad outweigh the good. It is very cheap (one of the least expensive Mexican places anywhere in this area of Orlando, and I’ve been to almost all of them), and the people working there were friendly, but the food just wasn’t the best and the atmosphere wasn’t great either.
The cabeza, carnitas and barbacoa tacos were good, but the chicken, steak and lengua tacos were not very good. The al pastor was the worst we’ve ever had. The only reason the others tasted good was because they were marinated – I don’t think any of the meat was very fresh, hence why much of it tasted old and bland. They have a salsa bar, but it’s not very nice, and certainly not as kept-up as other Mexican restaurants’ salsa bars. And the tortillas were too thick and tasted almost like cornbread! They didn’t add enough water to them so they all fell apart in your hands… Avoid the sopes – the al pastor tacos and steak sope were the worst things here. But overall regarding food, just not very impressed at all.
It’s a rather dirty-looking place and it’s mind-boggling to me how it got such a high rating on its last health report (check the LifeKitchen app). You walk inside and see dirty, beat up chairs and tables and realize you definitely don’t want to eat here – you only want to take out from here. I walked past the kitchen and saw employees handling very old-looking food. It’s just not worth it to me – even though it’s extremely cheap, I wouldn’t waste my money and I would instead go to places like Don Poncho, La Hacienda or Garibaldi in Apopka, even if they cost a bit more. At least at those places, my money is well-spent!

Since our first visit we have become regulars and our experiences have always been very consistent! Food is very good with authentic flavor and presentation! Very affordable! Lots of menu options! and the staff is very friendly and servicial! Great authentic local taqueria! My favorite are the Fajita Mix, Tacos de Cabeza, Tostada de Camarones!

El Alacran Taqueria is one of those little hole-in-the-wall spots you’re almost tempted to keep secret. The food is real Mexican, no shortcuts, no gimmicks, just flavor that hits every single time. The Al Pastor Burrito especially… man, that thing is on another level. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed the way a burrito should be. Service is quick, prices are fair, and the food never disappoints. If you want the kind of spot locals swear by, this is it. Five stars, easily.

Was looking for something more authentic and found this little hole in a wall place. They were open on New Years Day and were busy too. Food was delicious and service was patient and nice.

I used to drive an hour to Winter Haven to get my tacos because they were that good, but I would drive TWO hours for this place. Thankfully I dont need to…
$2 tacos are a great deal for how substantial the tacos are! And the best part is that the Onions/Cilantro, Limes, and Salsas are all self serve, so you can have as much as you would like! Great traditional music, mexican cokes/modelos/jarritos. This place is everything you want if you are looking for an authentic experience. I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Best carnitas tacos I have had.
I discovered it on Friday (05/10/24) and already went back today (05/12/24). TRY THIS PLACE OUT!!

Terrible, carne asada for tacos looks like ground beef and tasted unseasoned. The crispy tripa taste like dog meat. Salsas are not good and they dont have chips. Definitely would not go back, unless it was for Pastor tacos!

The absolute best taco spot in Orlando. Authentic Mexican food, the tacos and quesadillas, especially the al pastor. The sauces are made fresh daily and compliment the food exquisitely. I eat here weekly.

Got three tacos: asada, al pastor, chicken. They give you a corn tortilla full of meat, you put toppings on yourself. Green sauce is very bright and fresh tasting, red sauce stings. Very good food for the money, would come back again
