After a short wait — which had been communicated clearly in advance over the phone (a detail that truly reflects professionalism) — we were seated comfortably.
The menu is simple and well curated, with a few special dishes prepared separately. I had the potato appetizer and the fettuccine with meat ragù. The pasta, in particular, was perfectly cooked al dente and full of flavor — exactly how it should be.
The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. I personally did not order any alcoholic beverages or drinks, and even without that, the final bill felt like great value.
Compliments to the entire staff for their professionalism and kindness throughout the evening.
I would gladly return.
We had the pork chop and pork belly special. It was crisp, rich, and the honey drizzle brought a nice balance of sweet and savory. We also tried the ragù and pappardelle pastas. Both were perfectly al dente. The pappardelle stood out with garlic confit, wine, and mussels that all worked together really well.
Will definitely be back 🙂
The food had a certain subtlety of flavor, simple in nature. Perfect for a delicate pallate. My date, hesitant about fish, loved that you could not tell there was tuna, or citrus, or frankly capers in the vitello tonnato. The plin was perhaps the finest buttered noodle I’ve ever had. Invigorating. And, for all you saucey fellas, the arctic char comes with a generous serving of… buerre blanc and braised kale? No, surely they meant creamed kale as well as squash puree! Of which every drop will be needed to help stir one’s mind to imagine some flavor. I will attest that the panna cotta was very good, my favorite I’ve had.
As for the portion sizes, if you are a small woman of about 100lbs you will be left perfectly satisfied! Unless of course you forego the entree. We both left hungry.
The ambience is normal, a bit loud. The kind of place you’d expect to wow you with their food instead.
Im sorry to leave a bad review, but this was the most disappointing dining experience I’ve had.
the food is really well done- i think i get the plin and rabbit every time! have never had a miss with anything.
great wine program- 1/2 price nights have amazing deals on some very nice wines. also allow corkage- which i appreciate. allows me to pull some bottles from my cellar.
bravo!!!
Unfortunately, the plin came off overly salty and tougher than expected, making it hard to fully enjoy. The cod lacked flavor, and the sauce ended up overwhelming what little taste the fish had. Lastly, the panna cotta wasn’t as chilled as I would have liked, and it leaned a bit too sweet for my palate.
