When I am visiting Cape I usually eat at a different restaurant but decided to try something new. I was flying solo this trip and they seated me off in a little side room all by myself. No one else -the whole time I was there- got seated in this room. Made me feel like a leper and basically just ruined the experience . The food was decent but the other place is better so I will go back there next time. Live and learn.

We got horrible food poisoning from eating here lunch Christmas Day.Brick in my stomach by 1am then all night struggled badly. Then by 6:30am vomiting and then got way worse through out the day then fever hit. It’s been horrible. It’s my fault because my son nearly died here 6 months ago but I thought maybe we were safe since it was soooooooo slammed! Nope. I got chicken wings, meat on the stick, and the grill with noodles and veggies no meat. That’s it. So it was most likely the chicken wings cause I had a very faint feeling while eating them and didn’t finish them. My husband ate them out of the fridge and said he was feeling sick that morning too and had a small knot in his stomach and wondered why.

I am glad they saved the building after Sam retired and pagoda closed. However I honestly think they should have kept the look of Pagoda Gardens instead of completely changing the outside. Sure it probably needed a refit however now the look is more like a paint store or specialty electronics market. Plus the awning over the sidewalk is gone as well which is a loss of function.
Maybe I’m just salty the lounge is gone had many good memories through my entire life in that place and for sure there is many a local who would have took up their predecessors seat at the bar my self included (Keeping it warm for My grandpa Forrest Slinkard)
But, things change and there are plenty of people willing to change them simply to erase the past so what can be done.

It’s simple, good, and cheap. I personally can’t eat much other than the chicken but everything iv tried is very good. Not too many bright lights and it’s not too loud. The wait staff is very nice, and food is regularly available
