This restaurant exuded a country charm as we were welcomed inside. Our lunch was served in a timely manner and did not disappoint! As evidenced by the photo, my servings were generous and tasty-chopped steak w/onion and green pepper, white mac and cheese, coleslaw, corn and buttered toast.

Down home charm. Large areas for big groups.
Daily specials and good prices.
Cucumber salad was delicious as was the cabbage roll, chicken fried steak and turkey and stuffing.

Potato salad seemed store bought, was hoping for homemade.
Beans just needed a bit more seasoning as well as cornbread.

Great service!!!

Carpeted throughout

Thanks

It is such a delight when a restaurant takes its food seriously. In Harvest Family Restaurant case it is apparent as soon the food is placed in front of you.

The large dimly lit gray interior belies the first class food to be served. I was there for a breakfast. The service was prompt and friendly (being a minority I felt out of place when I walked in, but soon after I realized how civil everyone was and how pleasant a place.) I ordered eggs over easy (perfect) the home fries were executed so perfectly that Micheline star restaurant couldn’t top it–delicately crip on the outside and perfectly creamy on the inside. The sausage patties were cooked spot on. Someone wished me to have a blessed day as they walked by. This restaurant made my day.

Went here for lunch. It was busy, but the staff were friendly and quick. Kept my drink full. The chicken was cooked perfectly! It’s not too pricey. Great food, and great service! Wonderful little place to eat!

Down home southern cooking at its best. Family friendly and clean. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu…so far we’ve loved everything we’ve gotten.

I’m sorry but that was the worst breakfast I’ve ever been served. The hash browns were a joke! Over cooked potatoes that tasted like they went thru a ricer. Watery, mushy and gross. Didn’t even look like hash browns! The toast was cold and served with cold butter. The eggs were ok but when someone orders scrambled egges theyre not supposed to be chopped! The cleanliness was questionable. There was food stuck to the ceiling above my seat. Coffee and tea both very weak. All in all…just gross.

*Updating original review now that I’ve eaten here several times* It’s seat yourself unless there’s a long line & the waiting area is crowded. There’s a room to the left of the buffet/salad bar with more seating & for a larger party. The staff all work together to keep you covered, we had 3 ladies take care of us this current visit. Lunch & dinner options are good but breakfast is my favorite! The sausage is individually patted & not machine processed. You can do a 1/2 & 1/2 order with 1 sausage & 3 bacon. You can substitute grits for hashbrowns/breakfast potatoes, all of which are great. The pancakes are sweet so if you like that sugary morning fix this is a great option, bonus the syrup is delivered hot & the butter is spreadable! The all you can eat breakfast buffet is a bargain if you can eat more than my pictured food which ran about $10 – $12. We tried it one Saturday & I left WAY too full. The salad bar looks good although I’ve never tried it. I like the abundance of sides on the lunch/dinner menu. I don’t think there’s a vegetable plate option for X number of sides but they’re reasonably priced a la carte to make your own. The sides portions aren’t obscene so cost & waste remain low. It is very typical of a southern cooking diner. If linens, lobster, & filets are what you’re looking for then you won’t enjoy this great Mom & Pop. Ooo & they do burn logs in the fireplace when it’s cold!
Fast & friendly service. Good breakfast & delicious pancakes. Will go back on a Saturday to try the buffet. Very reasonable prices.
