Sandra’s Tamales

Our tamales are soft and juicy, Some people have called our tamales wet tamales because of how runny the sauce can be. We grind our own corn to make our masa.

Honestly I am disappointed. First time ever trying tamales from East Los and I came here. The red sauce pork tamale looked like mole and tasted strange. The green sauce tamale looked like vomit and had a strange taste. Super disappointed.

The very best tacos in Southern California. Wonderful family owns this facility and I highly recommend they’re excellent food. Everything is super fresh cooked same day. Just an excellent experience. We’ll go more often and highly recommend everybody go whenever you’re close.

Bought a dozen of Green chile Cheese from Diamond Bar High School Girl Golf fundraising and picked up today. Thinking it will be dry, went Target to pick up a bottle of salsa. Surprisingly, the best wet tamales I ever tried. No need any salsa. Yummy! Thank you.

Hands down, the best tamales around Los Angeles! Also, the menuedo is . This is a take out only. Days before Christmas the line is long! People will arrive at 4am for a 6am opening. Raw and frozen tamales are an option. Dont forget to bring your pot for menuedo!

Sandra has the best tamales, chili rellenos, champurrado, and other delicious food items. Tamales are $3.00 each.
I go on Sundays after Mass. Sandra’s has counter service. There’s a line, 3 customers at a time place their order, pick up and go. Hours are 6 am to 4 pm. Sunday they close earlier.

I must’ve driven past this little gem a thousand times & never noticed it!
I stopoed today. I had the cheese and pork verde& rojo. I wasn’t disappointed.
I also tried the champurrado. Loved that it wasn’t thick or super sweet!
I will be going back for more!

The Best Tamales ever in East LA, the lines outside sometimes are long but well worth the wait, there not cheap with the meat in each tamale, you’ll get your money worth for sure.

These tamales are not it, the tamales are way smaller than the husk, giving the impression that they’re bigger than they are. Then they add sauce on the top of the tamale. Just makes for a messy eating experience ᴖ̈

This is only a place to pick up and not a sit down restaurant.

Excellent tamales. Very moist and tasty. My favorite are the red chicken tamales and the sweet elote tamales. Take home only.
