I wanted a quick easy hassle free dinner so I stopped at Church’s on the way home with my daughters. I’ve always liked church’s it reminds me of my childhood but what I experienced today was so awful. I found a maggot in my coleslaw. I had already eaten a few bites from the container when I noticed something off white and could see it was a maggot. I stopped eating and threw away the remaining food and was skeptical of going in because I hate to make a big deal of things but it wasn’t something as simple like a human hair it was a disgusting maggot and who knows where it had been or how it got in there. Unfortunately the individual in charge at the time directed my issue to the regional gm Sergio who was less than concerned and overall dismissive of the situation. They refused a full refund because some of the food had been eaten and he even went as far as to insinuate that I possibly placed the maggot myself because it didn’t appear to be submerged in the coleslaw. I don’t know who has enough free time to try and rip off a Church’s but certainly not me. Eat here at your own risk.

I’ve always wanted to try this place and having just moved to an area that has one, my first experience was a total let down. Everything tasted like it was straight from a tin can, onto a hot plate, and poured into a to go box. The gravy is terrible, the chicken batter is less than sub-par and they were out of almost half the menu. I guess I wasn’t missing much by not living near one and I surely won’t be eating here again. Yuck! Now that I know, I’ll just stick to Chick-fil-A, KFC, and Raising Canes. There’s no comparison.

There was only one person responsible for taking orders. All other front employees ignore you when that one clerk is busy.
The front clerk was patient with me in trying to figure out an issue with my attempt to redeem a promo, and when he couldn’t figure it out, he asked for help; second person was kind and help beat she could.
They get 2 stars for service considering the lack of interest of their customers. They don’t greet you to let you know someone will help you shortly.
The entrance atmosphere is tight. People bumping into each other just to fill their fountain drinks. We had to sit way far in the back by the air vent just to get a cool breeze. Most of the restaurant was hot. All tables and chairs were dirty with crumbs and grease; I requested a rag or paper towels but the employee cleaned the tables for us.
They didn’t have any ketchup packets to go with my fries.

Ordered a 16 piece original leg and thigh and got all spicy. So tired of them getting the orders wrong. I don’t have the time to return the chicken to the store and get a refund. Super inconvenient.

Yesterday, as I entered Church’s Chicken the parking lot, drive thru, and lobby was full. As I went into the store there was a lot of people in their cars waiting. I walk in and the line is to the door and the kitchen was with a full staff. One person was waiting for an online order and another for a Door Dash order. As I’m waiting in line one of the cooks shouts – No Mames. The lady waiting for her online order had been waiting for 20 minutes already. She asked, “How much longer?” They told her 15 more minutes. I looked around and assessed the situation. I decided to turn around and walk out because who knows how long my food would have taken or if the order would have been right.

I waited 40 minutes for my overcooked chicken. While I waited inside for my order, I observed none of the staff talking to each other, not smiling and definitely NOT happy about anything. After 1 very unhappy customer left, a female employee cracked a very brief smile at me. Perhaps it was a smile of embarrassment but I appreciated and so I tipped her $10 to help make her day better. This store has serious management or ownership issues.

The place was dirty (tables, chairs, floors, restroom). The women’s restroom did not have toilet paper. The male cooks had facial hair and were not wearing a beard net properly and another did not even have one. The beard net is to cover facial hair not the throat.
