Brothers in law Jesse and Laurance are bringing some variety to the late night food scene in Missoula. Whiz Kid makes the famous no fuss cheesesteak (or cheeseshroom) sandwich you desire! We use only Amoroso rolls direct from Philadelphia, to anchor our cheesesteak in its hometown roots. With this iconic bread as a base, combined with the best ingredients available in Montana, we craft a delicious sandwich unique to the Mountain West. We offer just a couple of sides to enhance your meal. First we have hand cut, fried corn chips seasoned with our very own blend of chili cheese spices. Second is a dill pickle. Enjoy them both to round it out and satisfy your cravings to the max! We look forward to feeding you!!!

OMFG! Not to mention the spicy tomato ranch, which is made in house.
RIDONCULOUS!! If you’re in Missoula, it’s a must try! The bread is perfection – I got it to go and it perfectly held up 1.5 hours later.
Chef LG is a GENIUS!!
When the cook said, “no,” on the phone, I asked if they had mayo available. He insisted it could only be served on the side. I asked if he could just go get a packet and put it on, but he insisted that this would “knock off his whole flow.”
When I asked to speak to the manager, he also said they were not capable of adding the mayonnaise they have on hand to the sandwich. He said that if one customer asks for mayonnaise to be added, it is a slippery slope, implying that all customers will ask for sandwiches made the way they like them. I don’t really see how he believes this to be a valid point, but he was adamant in his belief.
Given that in the food service industry people have to change gloves and even use new utensils if people have allergies, the small amount of effort required for this request to be denied is mind-boggling.
The manager, also, chose to yell at me in front of the bar’s patrons publicly. After it was clear that I wasn’t getting anywhere with them, and after he yelled, “You need to shut up and listen…,” I made a dismissive raspberry sound and walked away waving to them. They would have probably spot in my food anyway.
Dinosaur Cafe, which is only 0.1 miles away from Whiz Kid, can make cheese steaks, even cheese steaks with one additional topping.
I ordered delivery, this is The Pork-Chop sandwich.
Unwrapping it opened a surprise for sure.
Speaks for itself.
I’ll be a customer forever.
