We stopped at this homespun diner on our way to upstate. It has absolutely delicious food! The hot turkey and hot roast beef sandwich plates with gravy were divine. The burgers are fresh, hand patty, meat. You must get the hand cut fries. They are scrumptious!

Nice little mom and pop dinner. We got there at 10:20 on a Sunday morning and it was busy! About a 25 minute wait for food. We were in no hurry and enjoyed the atmosphere.

They do take credit out debit card!

Mom’s Savona Diner is one of the country style best restaurants I have been to. I believe it is run by family owned business. The ambiance is good and gives a feel of vintage style food far breakfast. As far as the food is concerned, you will not have any problem. You can also find ham steak which is equivalent to Waffle house country ham. Well cured and tasty.

If you are a vegetarian, you’re options would be less. But definitely a must go restaurant. Only cash or check accepted.

Don’t miss out!!! This place is a real gem! Excellent, fresh, and delicious food at a great value.

And here’s the best part: Mabel’s makes homemade pies! Naturally, we had to conduct a taste test. Seven varieties, three people, lots of forks flying. Fun and delicious. The mince pie came out on top… but honestly, they were all winners.

We loved everything and will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

Small village diner, nice people.
State police eat breakfast here, so the donuts are probably good too.

You know how everyone says their small hometown diner is the best, but they’re all just kind of the same? Not this one! I hadn’t eaten there since I was a teenager growing up in Savona in the 90s. But my family and I had been touring small diners in the area and figured we’d go back to my old hometown and give Mom’s Savona Diner a try. They did not disappoint. The chicken wings were delicious, and haven’t gone up in price like literally everywhere else, and you get a full dozen. The taco salad is enormous. The spaghetti sauce is homemade. The peanut butter pie is fantastic! In summary: my small hometown diner is better than your small hometown diner!

I love this place! Thank you for keeping the food of the former Savona diner on the menu. I absolutely love their fish fry, love their hamburgers, love everything about this place. The only complaint that I have is space. I feel that the tables are a touch close together but it’s my opinion. The waitstaff is great and attentive. The cooks make great food. And what’s great is that Lowery Family Farms is next door, which is another great place to visit.
