My family has been dining at Olde Towne Steak & Seafood for more than two decades, and it has been consistently excellent every time we visit. If you’re searching for the best steak in Virginia, in my opinion they serve the best king-cut steak in town—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and very reasonably priced for the quality and portion.
Their seafood dishes are just as impressive. Some of our favorites are the Salmon Olde Towne, the lump crab, stuff mushrooms with crab imperial and the rich, flavorful lobster bisque. Everything we’ve tried over the years has been delicious and consistently well prepared.
They also offer one of the best selections of wine and cocktails in the area, which makes the dining experience even better. And you absolutely have to save room for dessert—my personal favorite is the Orange Kiss, which is the perfect way to finish an amazing meal.
Located in the historic district of downtown Fredericksburg, it’s always worth the trip. There’s also plenty of free parking, which is a big bonus downtown. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, making it perfect for a romantic dinner, special occasion, or family gathering. You can dress casually or in evening attire and still feel right at home.
What truly makes this restaurant special is the welcoming service—you’re treated like family every time you walk in. If you’re looking for a great steak and seafood restaurant in Fredericksburg with excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere, Olde Towne Steak & Seafood will not disappoint.

This restaurant was the place to go if you wanted the very best of Fredericksburg for several decades and it was superb ! There was a time I thought they may have dropped down a bit; but I can tell you that they are top notch! We had our family of eight there on Friday and the service, food, drinks could not have been better! Please, go here and enjoy the stuffed oysters and the Delmonico! Absolutely fantastic! The lobster is also amazing! Please support this establishment! I wish I remembered our waiter’s name; absolutely phenomenal!

Place is huge, but very well decorated. The feel of a 1940’s era steak house with very long bar. Prime rib was the thickest I’ve ever seen,but perfectly cooked. Waiter was very professional and attentive, similar to the best Prime steakhouses I’ve been to in Chicago or Omaha.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Old Town Steak and Seafood, and as always, it was an incredible experience. We dine here a few times each year, and the food and service consistently impress us. I usually go for the King Cut Prime Rib, which is hands down the best in town. My wife’s favorite is the Broiled Seafood Platter, especially the Crab Imperial—she can’t get enough of it. Our daughter opted for the Stuffed Lobster this time and is now hooked, refusing to order anything else! While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it well worth it. Brendan was our server tonight, and his service was exceptional, making the evening even more special.

This is a restaurant you go to on a special occasion for sure. I went for my birthday recently, and my favorite is the stuffed oysters for an appetizer and I always get some kind of seafood. My significant other got the prime rib, which is what he always gets and this prime rib takes up the whole plate. It is definitely something that you would want to try if you go to the restaurant.

Went for belated Valentine’s dinner. Nice restaurant, good service and food was fresh. I would have liked the Seafood Norfolk more if it had a stuffed filling typically consists of breadcrumbs or cracker crumbs, combined with crab meat, shrimp, or scallops, along with garlic, butter, herbs, and mayonnaise to create a rich topping.

$70 for a filet but the server has no idea what butcher it’s sourced from, what its grade is, and when presented, it is not cooked correctly (ordered medium plus but came out medium rare). My husband ordered a Delmonico – ATROCIOUS. It was maybe a half inch thick and absolutely not worth the $50+ price tag. The salads are extremely basic iceberg lettuce and we were given only three dressing options (ranch, french, or blue cheese). The dinner rolls were so cheap – they most certainly came from a frozen bag. The lobster was just okay – not great, and definitely not worth the price attached. The stuffed mushrooms were okay. Loaded with butter, but edible. The stuffed flounder was good. If you’re charging NYC or DC prices, you have to provide the service and experience worthy of a $400 bill. It was not busy; we were one of four tables sat at the time and yet our server had to be asked several times for drink refills. Look at it this way – it was Saturday night at 730pm and the place was almost empty. The servers were just hanging out by their enormous, beautiful bar (it really is a beautiful bar, I’ll give them that much, it’s a showstopper). Anyway, save yourself the letdown and go to Fahrenheit or Firebirds. This establishment is past its heyday- and it’s a real shame, too, because it used to be great.

The crab meat was incredibly delicious, and the bread they served was out of this world – truly insane! What made the evening even more enjoyable was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was top-notch. I can’t recommend Old Two Steak and Seafood enough. If you’re looking for a restaurant with amazing food, fantastic service, and a cozy atmosphere, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be returning for more culinary delights!
