This sushi restaurant has a cozy, relaxing vibe that makes it a great place to enjoy a quiet meal. They offer a good variety of sushi, and the menu includes clear descriptions, which is really helpful when choosing. We ordered three rolls, and they were all served together on one dish with a beautiful presentation.
We also tried the salmon teriyaki, which I don’t think is their strongest dish—the teriyaki sauce was a bit too heavy for the portion. Overall, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the sushi experience itself was very enjoyable.

I tried this place because a friend of mine swore by it. I think I should have followed the adage of “thou protesteth too much”. The food was not great, but some did seem fresh. A couple pieces of fish had a fishy odor. I left those on the boat.

As we entered, we were greeted very dryly. We sat down and asked what we wanted to drink. When she came back she took our order. We did not see her again until she brought out the food. She then disappeared and did not come back until she sat the receipt on the table.

The atmosphere was extremely quiet. There was one other table with customers. Being a Saturday afternoon I assumed that it would be busier. The restaurant itself was spotless.

I don’t think that this is a return spot for me personally; however, you might want to test your luck.

HAPPY DINING!!

I saw a post on Instagram and decided to give this place a try when my son was in town since he loves sushi. We got the appetizer that had a variety of everything and it was delicious. The crab ragoon was our favorite. I loved the vegetable tempura as well. Very well seasoned and fried perfect. Our 3 sushi rolls came on a boat which was a great presentation. All of the rolls were delicious and filled us up. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the teriyaki chicken. I was under the impression it would be hibachi style with vegetables but that was not the case. It was a chicken breast topped with sauce and not really vegetables but garnish on the side. The fried rice I was upcharged to was bland and had absolutely no flavor. If we come back it would be just for the sushi only. Not taking a chance on another entree.

10/10 experience, I ordered the Oishi Deluxe and Oishi Spicy chef specials and was really impressed. Each special cost $20 and gave a generous amount of food that I felt was worth the cost. Most importantly the sushi and nigiri were delicious! After coming back from Japan, I’ve been looking for high quality sushi, and this hit the spot for me.

For a restaurant with such a relaxed vibe the food here is really great. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and the prices are reasonable, especially the sushi lunch special. The crab Rangoon and the tempura are always good appetizer choices. As far as sushi goes they have all the basics covered, but they also have blue fin tuna and uni if you want something a little fancier. Lastly, if you have people in your group that doesn’t like sushi, but you still want to go, their pad thai or stir-fry dishes are fantastic as well. Highly recommended.

The lobster roll is no joke! Loved it. The lunch special is a good value & has a variety of options.

Atmosphere-wise: some pleasant music in the background would be nice.

Sad to write a negative review for such nice people! Firstly, the staff was very nice and I like them.

Within 5 minutes of sitting down there was a large cockroach crawling up the wall behind my head. I smacked it with my napkin.

The miso soup was hot and good. The tea was hot but tasteless. The seaweed salad was pretty good. The tempura was tasteless – the batter, the ingredients, and the sauce. We simply didn’t eat it.

Overall the sushi is fine quality, especially for Missouri standards. Disappointingly, the rolls don’t have much diversity – they all have either pickled radish, green onion, smelt egg, or asparagus. They sort of all felt the same. But it was decent enough – tasted okay and we got full.

We will not be coming back unfortunately. Like I said, the staff is very nice and we wish you the best.

This place is amazing! Easily one of my favorite restaurants. I was never very into sushi before this place but now I’m over the moon about how good it is. Before here, I’d only stick to extremely simple salmon and tempura nigiri since most places where I had an option to try sushi the bulk had crab which makes me nauseous; but this place has an outstanding variety for decent prices on sushi, so I was really happy I finally got to try more sushi than just two types of nigiri. Their appetizers are amazing (wasabi tempura shrimp is to die for), their lunch special is so good especially the salad and miso soup with it, and they also have some really good deserts like matcha fried ice cream. They have some non-sushi meals too which are also good. My mother and I keep coming back for lunch and every trip has been great! Very sweet and kind staff, too! I would post a picture of the food but I have honestly forgotten to take one every time I’ve went before I started eating; it’s just that good.

I came here for the third time just for spider roll because it’s amazing and fresh. But today It tasted very fishy. I wanted to gag. The place smelled fishy too today.
Didn’t want to complain, but it was disappointing. Thought I found my new favorite sushi place.

I’ve tried this restaurant several times. Most of the dishes were delicious, but I don’t understand why the chicken katsu is always so overcooked—it’s often burnt, even though it’s quite pricey.

There was a young lady with a great service attitude for take out, but the rest of the aunties were rather indifferent.
