Really fresh and delicious bowls with lots of options for building your own – we usually order takeout from their easy-to-navigate mobile app. Our orders have been consistently prompt, accurately prepared, tastefully presented, and flavorful. They even come with chips and salsa included. You get so much food for the price, I sometimes enjoy two meals from one bowl. Well done, Burrito Shak! My son wishes you had one near UNC Chapel Hill!

Id like to start off by saying that we have been supporting burrito shack since their first location in Hampstead. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed tonight during our experience. We placed an online order around 7:40 p.m. I understand the business closes at 8 but being that we weren’t ordering anything that required them to throw an food on the grill, I was confident that placing an order at this time was okay to do. When we received our order, neither of the orders included any rice, no lettuce, they barely put any toppings, and both were COLD. I understand that they may have ran out of rice but a phone call would have been appreciated letting us know that those toppings were not available at that time (especially when I was required to put my number in for an online order). This would have been completely fine & we would have canceled our order and came another night. Cold food especially was extremely disappointing, as we had to microwave both bowls which in turn made all the fresh toppings soggy.

Burrito Shak Porters Neck was a wonderful experience with food and service being a 10/10. We eat at other locations regularly, and will now be enjoying this new Porters Neck location regularly too! Food is always fresh and fast!

Highly recommend not ordering online. I ordered two bowls and there were issues with both. Neither contained queso, which we paid extra for since there were no other cheese options when building a bowl on their website. Mine was also missing beans, so my bowl consisted only of meat and the toppings that they did remember to include. Both bowls were only filled less than half capacity. My sister has a tomato allergy and didn’t order any toppings containing tomatoes, however there were a few in the bowl that must have been cross contaminated from dropping into other toppings. We were also only given one bag of chips despite both orders including chips, I’m not sure if that is normal since this was my first time ordering. I had hoped the food would at least taste good, but it was rather bland.

It’s like the majority of burito places with nice beach themes. The chicken tacos were good with the pineapple and cilantro. The only issue was that toco shells and chips were kinda stale tasting. The guacamole was good, but cheese queso was spicy and not my favorite.

I’ve been to this place before and always had great service, but today was really disappointing. We ordered online and didn’t select the toppings that ended up on our food. When I called to ask if they could remake it and I’d come pick it up, they repeatedly insisted on refunding me instead. I explained we needed the food, not a refund, and the whole process didn’t make sense. They eventually agreed to remake it, but when I arrived, nothing had been started and they were out of chicken.
After a long wait, the replacement was still made incorrectly. The staff was unapologetic, and no discount or gesture was offered for the inconvenience. Meanwhile, the rest of our food was at home getting cold while all of this was being sorted out. Really disappointing experience, especially considering how good past visits have been.

The Carne Asada? Seasoned like they smuggled the recipe straight from flavor heaven. The guac? Let’s just say it’s bold enough to go toe-to-toe with my mamma’s (and that’s saying something). And those chips… light, tight, and crispy! Like a sunbather catching rays at Wrightsville Beach. ️

Delicious fresh food. Locally owned. Monday night baked potato special is my favorite. They catered my son’s graduation party. It was perfect. Highly recommend for an easy meal or to feed your whole party.

Such a great family friendly spot with fresh food . Everything is fresh and real chicken not chunks of brown fatty thighs which I hate. My kids love it, we go once a week to the other location . Will now have this location on rotation when we’re in the area ! Always good and fresh, never had a bad meal !
