We chose Poison Ivy to host our mom’s 88th surprise birthday party after enjoying numerous visits previously, and they 100% nailed it. They were accommodating to helping set a beautiful, celebratory table, they were gracious and kind with our party of 9, and were down-to-earth enough to make everyone feel comfortable. Our server, Erica, was incredible! We were there for lunch, and our group ordered smash burgers, Italian beef and various sandwiches, and everything was delicious. They offer an option of cheesecake from a specialized baker, who provided a spectacular dessert. I wish I’d have taken pictures of our actual meals because they were amazing! A huge thanks to Liz and Erica for helping us make a very special day even more special!

$22 for a tiny burger and fries is insane. The online menu specifies that the burger should have arugula and prosciutto but instead it only had cheese, Mayo, pepperoni and some sun-dried tomato and burger patty.

Update: The business admitted that they charged me a price for a different type of burger than I ordered and is willing to refund me if I go back.

I didn’t get a chance to place an order. There was plenty of staff but nobody seemed to want to take my order. With 5 or 6 people back and forth behind the bar they were more interested in making drinks. I was able to order a glass of water and get a menu. After waiting and the continuous being ignored, I left and went down the road where I ordered my drink and dinner in less than 5 minutes because I knew what I wanted for dinner but not to drink. Still got my drink faster than it took for me to get water and a menu here. The people to my left got a refill on beer before I was able to place my order. So get your staff to figure out how to work as a team to help increase your food sales because they surely have down sales of alcohol and beer. Be better. Do better.

Haven’t been here before even tho I’m from the area and decided to try it on date night with my man.
Upon walking in, the bar looked aesthetically inviting and the decor inside was a little more upscale than any typical bar/pub. We liked the environment and felt comfortable with how spaced out the tables were; the volume of the music, and how clean the establishment is.

We started with the Brussels sprouts app and it was roasted to perfection with cheese and bacon. We ate them all. He ordered ribs as they were in special and they came with baked beans and corn. He said they were very delicious and proved it by eating the entire rack but the beans and corn were bland (he still ate them). I had the grilled chicken Florentine sandwich and thought it was very flavorful and I would definitely get it again.

Kyler was our server and he did a fantastic job waiting on us.

We will be returning again and spreading the word to our friends

I met a friend for dinner here on Friday around 6:15 p.m. It was my first time at the establishment.

The outside of the pub looked inviting, and inside the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I felt like I was in an upscale eatery rather than a pub.

We sat at the bar and it took a bit for us to be waited on. My friend ordered the crab cake appetizer and I ordered the Reuben, and we both had a couple beers.

My friend’s one crab cake cost $15, which I thought was a bit expensive. My Reuben was more in line with the cost. It was good.

I never write a place off after one visit, so I’ll go back and see how it is the second time.

Haven’t been since new owners…not impressed with menu! You have changed it!
Bring back your regular menu every day! Your brussel sprouts – filet sliders should be EVERY DAY!! Those items are the staples of Poison Ivy! I won’t be back

We were looking for a place to eat lunch after exploring Lake Victoria Municipal Park in South Beloit. While searching Poison Ivy Pub caught our attention, we decided to try it. The inside was really cool. The staff and owner were very friendly and attentive. The food was really good. I had the Wonton Soup, which was the best I have ever had. With that, I had something I have never had, a Prosciutto with grilled peach sandwich. It also was very good.

Had dinner here the other night after hearing the restaurant went through an ownership change. Food is still really good! Service was fast and friendly. The “square” cheese curds are a must!

The atmosphere is nice however I do really miss the “Wrigleyville” feel that it used to have (filled with Cubs memorabilia, etc), really my only complaint and a minor one at that.

I will be back!

Food was ridiculously expensive and not that good. Server was terrible. It was Valentine’s Day and the live music was so LOUD we had to SCREAM our order at the server. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Left with a migraine and a stomach ache. $200 down the drain. I’m PISSED.
