Another great experience at Fortune House Chinese Cuisine and it continues to be one of my Greenville go-tos!

We arrived toward the end of happy hour (3–6 PM) and were able to order several items at happy hour pricing, including dumplings and half-priced signature cocktails. The value during HH is hard to beat! Beautiful, well-balanced cocktails at half off makes it an easy yes! They also offer a daily reverse happy hour starting at 9 PM.

Everything we ordered:
Orange Chicken
Salted Egg Yolk Prawns (first time ordering)
Tea Smoked Duck (first time ordering)
Beef Chow Fun
Snow Pea Leaves
Pan Fried Pork Buns
Pork Xiao Long Bao
Crab Rangoon

Everything was delicious as usual! Tea smoked duck was good but personally I prefer Peking duck.

The space has a chill, moody lounge vibe that works just as well for dinner with friends as it does for date night or even a solo seat at the bar. Parking nearby is fairly easy, which is always a plus on Greenville.

A special shoutout to our server, Daisy. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our timing with happy hour was seamless. Service like that makes the experience even better!

Definitely a repeat spot for us!

Fortune House is a must-visit spot if you’re looking for amazing Chinese food in Dallas. From the moment you arrive, the ambiance is welcoming and comfortable great for both casual dining and special occasions.

We tried several dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. The crispy cucumber was refreshing and perfectly balanced, while the crab rangoon was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The pork xiao long bao were a standout juicy, flavorful, and made just right. We also loved the dumpling sampler, which is perfect if you want to try a variety of dumplings in one order.

For mains, the honey walnut prawns were incredible crispy, sweet, and perfectly cooked. The spicy dry fried beans added the perfect kick and were full of bold flavor, making them a great complement to the rest of the meal.

On top of the amazing food, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the entire experience even better.

If you’re searching for authentic and high-quality Chinese cuisine in Dallas, Fortune House is an excellent choice. Highly recommended we’ll definitely be back!

We ordered the beef chow fun, dumpling sampler, beef noodle soup, spicy beef noodle soup, and Yangzhou fried rice. Overall, the food quality was decent.

The biggest disappointment was the beef chow fun. The beef wasn’t very tender, and the rice noodles were clumped together instead of being nicely separated.

I actually enjoyed the dumplings quite a bit especially the original pork and vegetable ones. They were very juicy, well-seasoned, and tasted very similar to what I’ve had in China. The other colored dumplings had a different flavor profile that I’m not quite used to. While the fillings were still juicy, the taste wasn’t really to my preference.

Both the beef noodle soup and the spicy beef noodle soup were solid choices. The broth was flavorful, the noodles had a nice, authentic texture, and I appreciated that the spicy version didn’t hold back on the heat and it definitely had a good kick. I do wish the Yangzhou fried rice had more wok hei for that smoky depth of flavor.

On the plus side, the prices are surprisingly reasonable considering this is downtown Dallas.

Overall, it was a good dining experience.

My party of 2 enjoyed a delicious dinner on a Saturday night. They have a good variety of options and serve generous portions for sharing. Elijah, our server was knowledgeable and courteous.

My only minor complaint is for the soup dumplings, only half of our order was able to be eaten properly as the bottoms came undone very easily, this was a disappointment, as they were very flavorful, and I would of loved to be able to enjoy them all.

Overall I still highly recommend them & will definitely return.

Such an amazing place for some really good Chinese. Their handmade dumplings are a must try as well as their spicy string beans.

Portions are pretty big so you’ll likely leave with leftovers which is never a bad thing!

My favorite Asian restaurant in lower Greenville. They have a great selection of juicy dumplings, all the classic Chinese dishes, and everything tastes authentic with high quality.

This place was so cool and gives off Chinese restaurant vibes but modernized and chic. Love the interior and exterior. Food was pretty good but a bit salty for my taste. My friend and I was in the area and got hungry so we stopped by here. Service was great! We ordered the orange beef, general tsao chicken, bok choy, and fried gyoza. Not too bad for Americanized Chinese food. Definitely check it out. If I’m in the area, I would come back. Great for small and large groups! Better for bigger parties. Definitely a vibe. Till then, let’s eat!

Went here just for the pork soup dumplings. They are amazing! Fresh hot, but not too hot. Spices just right and the dough steamed perfect. The staff is attentive and I loved they filled our water regularly; we never had an empty glass. We also had lettuce wraps and they were delicious. We got a quarter of fresh iceberg lettuce head but it didn’t hold up well with the top notch filling. We also had General Tso’s. It was the right kind of heat and crispy. I have tried the orange chicken but General Tso’s is much better. I can’t wait to go back for more dumplings! PS make reservations

My husband and I sat for a lunch reservation at 3:45pm in the garden room. It wasn’t too busy, and we were seated immediately. Good to note that they do allow for a 15 minute grace period for reservations! The atmosphere was so beautiful. The music and lighting was really good actually. Our waitress, Grace, was so lovely and very helpful. She answered all of our questions and gave us suggestions and tips on how best to enjoy our meal! The September featured cocktail, Mizunara Sour, was so good and tart and refreshing. The star of the show was the Black Truffle soup dumplings with an honorable mention to the Shanghai Pork Noodles. We would absolutely return and would recommend to others!

Made a reserve for dinner. Restaurant seems to want timely customers as I received a 30-minute arrival confirmation call. A strict 1 and half hour table stay was communicated. Parking can be difficult to find in this area so a walk to the restaurant may be necessary.

The wait staff was very friendly and prompt. They navigated us through the menu options. Slight wait on the food but around normal timing.

Each of the entrees was flavorful and delicious. However, the rice seemed a bit dry. Asked for additional napkins and did not receive them. All in all, the experience was great, and the food portions were satisfying.
