Strong value-add to the Sonoma dining ecosystem and an under-the-radar asset worth prioritizing. We executed the 5-tapas combo, which delivered a well-balanced cross-section of the menu and showcased disciplined kitchen execution across proteins and formats. Highlights included smoked duck with depth and restraint, shrimp empadas with clean fry and proper seasoning, pork terrine that was rich yet controlled, a bright, well-calibrated shrimp ceviche, and a Portuguese mac & cheese that landed squarely in the comfort-food-done-right category.

The Portuguese wine program is a standout differentiator—thoughtfully curated, regionally authentic, and priced to encourage exploration rather than gatekeeping. Overall, Tasca Tasca punches above its weight, offering a differentiated, high-engagement experience that feels intentional, unfussy, and repeatable. Clear recommendation for anyone looking to diversify beyond the usual Sonoma rotation.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Tasca Tasca, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for a delightful meal. Our two servers were outstanding; they were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The oysters were a highlight of the meal, fresh and flavorful, truly a treat for the taste buds. Overall, Tasca Tasca delivered a wonderful meal that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

First time being at this restaurant. The food was good , there was couple of things that I didn’t care for but, again is taste. Overall was really good food. I worked in a Portuguese Town for 7 years so I’m used to Portuguese food. I just wish they actually sold lemonade. Again it was nice the tables are very small to put all of the food. I will like to come again.

Probably the best food on this Sonoma trip. We only stopped in for a few appetizers but they were excellent. Peter did an excellent job taking care of us at the bar. The olive oil ice cream was delicious too!!

Love the food here – also with their sister restaurant LaSalette. We prefer trying a little of everything so the tapas style definitely resonates with us vs the traditional one appetizer and one entree format. Here’s what we got:
* boquerones
* goat stew – tender and flavorful
* kale salad
* caldo verde – brought us back to Lisbon!
* shrimp passion fruit ceviche
* braised honeycomb tripe a Porto – highly reco
* smoked duck breast

I always get their wine flight and dessert is a must. This visit we tried the Portugese olive oil ice cream which we wish they sell in pints!

Expand your sense of adventure and you will be rewarded. Our group was a bit leary when we first sat down and reviewed the menu. A good explanation and some recommendations from our server put us at ease. Everyone ordered three different dishes and they were all very good. The pork slider was one of the best I’ve ever had. Tables are a little tight which raises the noise level, but still pleasant. Service was quick and attentive.

We were blown away.

The food was incredible. Extremely unique. Decent size portions for being a tapas restaurant. Creative menu items and lots of fun.

We had a variety of dishes including: pickled vegetables, pigs ears, hot wings, beef tartare, squid salad, barbecue slider, Portuguese sausage, smoked duck, escargot, oysters (which had broken shells in it which were disappointing), codfish cakes, oil ice cream, mac & cheese, goat stew and green beans.

Order more food than you think you are going to eat.

The vibe seemed a bit odd. It was very bright and farm house feel, almost like an antique store/vintage gift shop. It could have been a bit more intimate.

We will definitely be back when in town.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town, and holy lord this place is outstanding! Every single dish we ordered was incredible. We ordered the fried pig ears which were super crunchy and dressed in a perfectly balance sweet and spicy sauce, along with some frisée that added a bit of levity and freshness. We also had the honeycomb tripe, sardine pâté, sao Jorge cheese, duck, and the dry jack cheese. Everything was superb; I’d eat those fried pig ears every single day if I was able to, best snack food ever. Service was lovely as well, attentive without being too much, also very well balanced. Thank you for a most beautiful dinner!

Tasca Tasca is one of those rare places that manages to be a fun experience with great food. Located in a lively area with a great champagne bar Sigh and other local businesses nearby, it’s the kind of spot that instantly makes you want to stay a while—whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or planning a long evening of sharing plates and sipping wine.
The concept here is simple but brilliant: you can order tapas in sets of 3, 5, or 7—perfect for customizing your experience. Whether you’re going solo or coming with a group, the flexibility is a dream. Sharing a board with friends is part of the magic, but honestly, each dish is so good it’s hard not to want one all to yourself.
Let’s talk about the food, because Tasca Tasca delivers some of the most flavorful and thoughtfully crafted small plates around.
Fried Piri-Piri Potatoes with Saffron Aioli: These crispy, golden bites are perfectly seasoned with just enough spice, and the creamy saffron aioli takes them to another level. They’re addictive—don’t be surprised if you order a second round.
Pork Slider with Port BBQ Sauce: Tender, juicy pork meets a rich, sweet-savory sauce with the depth only port can bring. It’s bold, balanced, and absolutely delicious.
Goat Stew with Fingerling Potatoes: The goat is melt-in-your-mouth tender, with earthy, comforting flavors that pair beautifully with the rustic potatoes.
Shrimp Empadas with Red Pepper Mayo: Think of these as the Portuguese answer to a savory hand pie—flaky on the outside, packed with shrimp inside, and paired with a peppery, slightly smoky mayo that ties it all together.
Bacalhau (Salt Cod Cakes): These are a Portuguese classic done right. Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside—perfectly salty and satisfying.
Chouriçinhos and Shishito Peppers: The smoky, blistered peppers is simply perfect. It’s a dish that hits all the right notes.
Mac & Cheese Portuguese Style with Linguiça: Comfort food with a twist. The linguiça adds a smoky, spicy kick to the creamy pasta, making this a must-try even among all the other amazing options.
The best part? These are just a few of the many choices on the menu. Tasca Tasca has a vast and varied selection of tapas that ensures there’s truly something for everyone. Each plate is crafted with care and packed with flavor—it’s impossible to make a bad choice here.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and unpretentious. The service is consistently attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The staff clearly knows and loves the menu, and they’re happy to help guide you through it.
If there’s one downside, it’s the lack of parking, so plan ahead or be ready to take a stroll from a nearby lot. But once you’re inside, any parking hassle is quickly forgotten.
In short, Tasca Tasca is a must-visit. Whether you’re looking for a casual solo dinner, a fun date night, or a place to graze and chat with friends over great food and wine, it delivers on all fronts. Come hungry—and maybe wear stretchy pants.

Literally amazing and my favorite tapas place. I love having options and if we had more friends to join, I could see us ordering the whole menu. Oyster was refreshing; ceviche was well-seasoned; pickles were marinated well to pair with the mac-n-cheese. Escargot was generous in the amount and the duck breast was perfectly smocked. You need to wrap up the meal with Portuguese Olive Oil ice cream. The staff there are friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely come back!
