Huge points for decor. You can tell the owners really put a lot of work into it. I came here for lunch on presidents day weekend. It was pretty dead at around 11:30am, and then right around 12:30 it was full of people. Campground guests im thinking. Service was friendly. You get free Wi-Fi here, although then uploads are a little slow, for those of you posting pics from Death Valley.

I had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. Fries were excellent–crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. The chicken patty was dry. Almost like it was a little over cooked and made earlier in the morning.

There was also a price discrepancy. The menu only has burgers with a four dollar upcharge substitution for a grilled chicken. They charged me an extra dollar for the substitution. I wasn’t going to haggle over the dollar but just wanted to call it out to the guy so they are aware of the price being wrong. The guy serving the bar seemed like he heard me and acted like he was busy so as to avoid having to fix the issue. I just paid and left.

Excellent customer service – one of the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress anticipated our needs before we asked. Wonderful family atmosphere and full bar. The food was delicious! Their local cream soda is definitely something to try.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Got seated, given menus and was ignored. Bartender finally came over and took our order with an attitude. I asked him what beers he had on tap and he responded with “I’m not going to tell you all of them!”… so I got up and walked over to his bar and looked… I then met him at the bar and told him what I wanted and he didn’t even make eye contact and just mumbled “ok”. Then he brought our drinks without a word and we were ignored. We waited over a half hour just sitting there. Finally I walked up and asked for our check as we had waited long enough.

These people have a lot to learn about the service industry. They may be able to get away with this with foreigners who frequent this place, but not Americans. Below is a photo of the “too many beers to mention”. Seriously!

We loved this unexpected place with great food and service. I had the Cheeseburger with Fries and it was well portioned, served hot and juicy. My wife had the Chicken Wrap that was very large and delicious with Fries. The Fries were cooked perfectly with a slight crisp outside and tender inside served hot. The service was excellent and the server made recommendations. The atmosphere was welcoming and cool after a day of exploring and sightseeing in temperatures of 113F. The food was way better than expected and certainly worthy of a return visit on our next trip.

What a wonderful surprise in the middle of nowhere; the Stovepipe Wells Saloon/Restaurant/ Bad Water Saloon. Very clean, great staff and reasonable prices considering where it’s located. Our meals we’re great with nice portions. Nice old west decor. Check it out.

As far as I know it is the only lunch/dinner in Death Valley, there is a general store across the street where you can get gastation type food. The Chicken Strips were really good actually, I also ordered the burger and added bacon, it tasted like a regular burger nothing exotic, the french fries where below average but overall not bad. You need to keep in mind this is a very isolated spot, so it is very hard to get fresh ingredients, i was actually surprised when i saw such a nice place with AC nice restrooms and nice interiors in the middle of nowhere.

The atmosphere was like an old western style place. Our server was amazing! ( purple hair with dreads and a corn tattoo) our burgers were hot fresh and delicious. Onion rings and fries were hot and yummy.

Given this place is located in the middle of Death Valley, the pub/saloon is a fine place to end the long days. Food options are not that great but do the job fine. The drink menu is long enough to satisfy the thirstiest of travellers. We went just before the holidays, therefore we did not find a lot of crowds. But this place gets crowded during busy times.

The experience was really bad.
They told us that the kitchen was under construction but they told us that there was possible order pizza and cheeseburgers, the pizzas was more like a piadina and was uncooked and was 25$, the cheeseburgers was like the frozen one that you find at the supermarket, and was 16$.
