I remember KFC in its glory days. This was not it. Before I talk about the food, I’ll say that the workers were great and the store was bright and clean.
When it came to the chicken, it was fatty, far more greasy than it should be, and parts were so hard it almost broke my teeth. The biscuits tasted great but fell apart. They didnt have coleslaw so I got mac and cheese, which were… eh.
I paid $20 for an 8 piece “family meal” because it was fried chicken day. Normally it is $30. Not at all worth it when you can get an 8 piece dark at other places for $12.
Hold onto your crew, KFC. Revise the food.

Maybe I was just lucky, but the freshly cooked original recipe chicken was outstanding. The breast in particular was huge, hot, juicy, tender, perfect like in a dream.
Why leave this review for a fast food chain? I’ve given terrible reviews for some food chains that deserved it. If I’m fair, I should do the same when food is 5-star, especially when surprisingly so and relatively outstanding compared to many, many other stores of the same chain around the country. Bravo, KFC of Rock Springs WY, BRAVO!

I came into KFC today for lunch, and the second I walked through the door I was greeted cheerfully by Nevaeh, she was a very good listener and was very professional. She repeated my order to me to ensure I got the correct things and let me know my food would be out shortly. It came out amazing, the food tasted good, and the lobby was very clean.

Food varies from visit to visit. Chicken can be found to be rather fatty and chewy. Price on average seems to be higher. Portion control seems to be lacking. Staff seem to be hostile to certain customers and delivery drivers. Wait times are lower than average. Store seems to be cleanish. Booths could be cleaned more often. All in all 80% of the time. Good food.
