Have been visiting Kiyo few years and they never disappoint me. Food qualities are consistent. Portion wise is good enough. Sashimi is fresh. Grill seafood is also very good. Chef is very patient to handle grill of not being overcooked or under cooked. one more thing is service staff are friendly and very welcoming. Restaurant is clean and tidy. Atmosphere is warm and happy. Appreciate their hard work. Was there Valentine’s day yesterday. Well done.

The place was lively and clearly popular with regulars. Overall, the food was decent, though nothing particularly stood out. The black cod was unfortunately quite flaky and had a noticeable fishy aroma, which took away from what’s usually a delicate dish.
• Sashimi Bento – chicken, sashimi, tempura, ebi sunomono, seaweed salad, miso soup
• Unagi Don (BBQ Eel Rice Bowl) – served with miso soup and pickles
• Gindara Saikyozuke (Marinated Saikyo Miso)

We had a fantastic experience at Kiyo Sushi!
The food was incredibly fresh—from the sashimi to the roll. Everything tasted high-quality and expertly prepared.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere throughout the meal.
Prices were quite reasonable, especially considering the quality, and the portion sizes were fair—not too small, not overly large.
Overall, it is a great balance of value and flavor.
We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in the area!

Kiyo Sushi is a nice little spot with fresh ingredients and a good variety. The oysters were really fresh and the chirashi don was great — nicely presented with a good mix of sashimi. It is on the expensive side for what you get, but the quality is there. Service was friendly and the place felt clean and relaxed. A good casual sushi option if you’re in the area.

My friend told me about Kiyo Sushi, which came highly recommended by his Japanese friend, so we decided to give it a try last night. Now I fully understand why it has that strong recommendation!
This place offers an authentic Japanese dining experience, with excellent food that truly captures the essence of traditional Japanese cuisine. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the overall atmosphere even more enjoyable.
Kiyo Sushi is definitely a great place not just for enjoying top-quality sushi and Japanese dishes, but also for relaxing with a good beer. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant with a warm atmosphere and outstanding food, I highly recommend it!

We visited a kiyo restaurant for Mother’s Day dinner. This was our first and last experience.
The sashimi was not fresh and overpriced. We tried various dishes, including melt-in-your-mouth thin sliced foie gras sushi, thin sliced warm toro, hamachi, salmon toro sushi,
hot and crispy soft shell crab,
tiny deep-fried oysters, chop scallops,
crispy chicken mango roll, prawn tempura, chewy beef sashimi, boiled BBQ squid, salty salmon kama,
and two large beers.
The total bill for four people came to $320.

Food was amazing, a nice little hidden gem in Richmond. Their seafood ingredient was very fresh and delicious. For around $50 per person, it was worth it for a treat. The high food quality were witnessed throughout, down to the tea their served. From the taste of it, it was made with authentic green tea powder and not just teabag. My personal favourite was their mentaiko cream udon. It was very creamy but not heavy at all. There was a slightly hiccup with the tempura order, but shout out to the staff for treating it very professionally.
