Food is that old school burger joint style, and they pull it off visually and tastefully. The service was fantastic, as were the other customers in line. It’s styled like an old drive thru too and fits the look perfectly.
Really can’t praise this place higher, I stopped here on my way traveling and I am SO GLAD that I did!

I was on a business trip to Jennings a few weeks ago and I kept hearing about Rocket Drive In throughout the day.
I was determined to find out just how good it was. Once the workday was done, I raced (responsibly drove) to the spot with my team and ordered their jalapeño sourdough. It’s not on the menu, but iykyk. Paired that up with a hot fudge sundae that had me dancing in my car on the drive back to NOLA.
Anytime I enter Jennings, I’ll be checking the Rocket.

During our travels we always enjoy the small mom and pop eateries. This one was a good place to stop.

Everything on the menu that I’ve had or tasted is great. My family always orders different things so we can share. I don’t live in the area but nearly everytime I pass on the interstate I call my wife and my mom to take orders. But its best when we can all eat there. Blue Bell ice cream shakes are superb. Staff has always been friendly and patient as well. The best is when we visit my Father at Veterans cemetery and eat otw back home. Great food, great people. Burgers are great, crab balls are a family favorite, wife loves the shrimp burger with onion rings. I could go on and on. You won’t be disappointed.

Think of this as a concession stand of restaurants. Have thoroughly tried their food (meaning the whole menu)and witnessed their service. The food is just like going to a high school football game and the service is slow just like the same experience. There is a place right beside it called hobos diner. That cook deserved a michilen star. The only downfall of that place is it closes at 130. But trust me if you catch it open it’s worth every penny. But I’m a contractor who works out of town and good food at local places is what I look for. Last money I spend here might as well eat fast food. Its better quality than this place. Average is a good description.

I arrived here around lunch time and it was very unclear where to park. I Walked to the counter and it took 8+ minutes to take my order because she was too busy cutting it up with a customer. Lost that positive energy when I got to the counter though. Burger was alright. Not sure it was worth 8$. If you aren’t a regular or your new around here, I wouldn’t expect amazing service. Will not return

You wanna talk about a throwback to a simpler time, you talk about this place. It has that old school feel that makes you think about servers on roller skates.
You pull up and hop out to order and you get friendly staff to greet you at the order window. Standard fast food fare. However it is made with care and quality that you can taste.
I don’t know when I will be back that way, but I will make a return trip. 9/10.

What a beautiful day God created! The short drive to Jennings for a Rocket Drive In burger is definitely worth it! Blast burger, HOMEMADE onion rings and a peanut butter shake . They are super friendly and our food came out hot, fresh and pretty quick. Since it was such a pretty day, we decided to sit under the awning(outdoor seating only-no dine in). We usually get it to go or eat in the vehicle with ac. Our handmade burgers were the perfect size. Not too big to feel stuffed, just enough to be content. And the HOMEMADE onion rings were lightly battered and fried to perfection. My peanut butter shake was such a treat to finish it all off. They’re definitely doing more than something right and absolutely worth the drive or slight detour when passing through. Y’all go check out The Rocket Drive In in Jennings, LA. You won’t be disappointed.

Dang, this place is 100% worth stopping to eat vs a drive thru place nearby.
The atmosphere is a 50’s drive up dinner with a few tables, and counter service.
The burgers are in the 4-7$ range depending on topping, and are juicy and tasty.
Highly recommend the “Son in law” burger, comes with pulled pork on top.
