The menu is a bit limited for vegetarians, but the salad I had was fresh and delicious. We’ve lived in Marine City for 5 years and this was our first time here. Our friend ordered a beer and the pour was definitely fit for a king! The staff was friendly and welcoming. And just a tip—one order of tater tots is plenty… they give you a ton!

Have had several sandwiches and all good and very big! Last night we had the corned beef and a regular burger with all the trimmings. Lively with lots of patrons enjoying themselves and super nice bartenders! I also like the chicken club which is grilled.
My kind of bar! Music, big beer boomba, fresh popcorn… 1/2# Special Gar burger with bacon, mushroom and Swiss… only could eat half!
Was medium well done just as I prefer my burger, and was still a two napkin juicy burger.
Definitely recommend the old school long bar, tables and picnic tables for a game. They now have full sports package for two years! Don’t miss the very large pool table room (2 tables) with big window street view.
We will be back for a game for sure.

Really good food, love the service and their loaded tots. The atmosphere is really nice and you get free popcorn when you walk in at a dining table. If you ever go ask for bree/Bryn (forgot how to spell and say it) overall amazing place definitely recommend

Best burger around! I love the olive burger and the fries are enough for two. The food is tasty, atmosphere is fun, waitstaff is on point. It’s always nice to walk the town after.

Came here on a Thursday early afternoon, right when they opened. We got a burger and fries. I was surprised by the quality and size of the burger. It was a good burger and we ordered it well done And most importantly, they did not char or burn it. I feel a restaurant should be able to cook a burger and ensure that it’s all the way done without burning it. And they definitely are able to do that

We stopped into Gar’s (for the first time) for lunch one day while in the area. As we sat down, we got a tray of popcorn! I had the cauliflower/broccoli cheese soup, and it was so good that I still think of it daily. My husband enjoyed his clam chowder soup. The place was clean, the service was friendly and quick, and we loved the nautical decor. Can’t wait to go back!
