The tuna appetizer was delicious and fresh. We ordered our entrees and they came out pretty quickly before we were close to being done with our appetizer and she wanted to take the rest of it away, so I said no. We ordered the black and blue wagyu salad, and it was fresh greens with plenty of toppings; the steak was medium so it was tender and cooked to perfection. Hubby said the shrimp and grits was pretty good, was very mild when he normally enjoys this dish more spicy; he didn’t care for the fact that the dish was very soupy. The place is cute, nice decor, friendly staff

From the moment you pull up, the curb appeal is undeniable. They’ve mastered the atmosphere here, offering a choice between a sleek, inviting interior and outdoor seating that’s perfect for those Carolina afternoons when the weather is doing exactly what it should.
Now, let’s talk shop: The Pizza. In a world of soggy centers and flavorless dough, Stone Soup is doing the Lord’s work. The crust has that perfect structural integrity and char that marks a truly great pie. It’s the kind of meal that makes you forget you were supposed to be “just passing through.”
The experience was rounded out by a service team that actually seems to enjoy being there—attentive, fast, and genuinely friendly. Pair that with a drink selection that is both surprisingly varied and—mercifully—reasonably priced, and you have a winner.
Whether you’re a local or just cruising through the Upstate, Stone Soup isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to linger. Just make sure someone at the table orders a pizza, or you’ll be hovering over your neighbor’s plate with major FOMO.

Absolutely terrible from start to finish!
We entered a deserted area and had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated. Nobody ever greeted us. I had to ask for a children’s menu; you would think someone with a three year-old would automatically be given one… ♀️ I also had to ask for a straw after I had her pour an adult drink into a children’s cup with a lid. She actually never took our order for drinks. Our waitress was so rude the entire time, I have no idea what set her off.
The pepperoni pizza was somehow burnt black, yet soggy and raw at the same time…
The black cloth napkins had hairs all over them, like pet hair and human hair, it was disgusting, I had to ask for paper napkins.
When I asked for a plate for my son, she brought me a teacup saucer, I asked for maybe a bigger plate and when she returned she plunked it down on the table and said “I hope that is more to your liking” with a snotty tone and rolling her eyes.
Absolutely will not be back!
I cannot fathom why/how this place is so popular…

Ya’ll …❤️ I wish people down in LA (for those that don’t know) lower Alabama knew a thing or two about offering this kind of service and good food! A little over six hours is too far for another date with my hubby anytime soon or I would definitely be back! Don’t hesitate just go experience this yumminess for yourself! If you’re traveling it’s a welcome break from the traditional truck stop fare! ❤️❤️

My husband & I just finished a fabulous meal! I got the black & blue steak salad. It was cooked to perfection with lots of fresh flavors of tomatoes, mixed greens, pecans and homemade blue cheese dressing. My husband ordered the Rueben sandwich and loved every bite! Sadie, the waitress /bartender was extremely nice, attentive and an excellent server. Her excellent service was really noticed and so much appreciated. She was awesome! We haven’t had service like that in a very long time.

I’m a vegetarian so would have enjoyed a few more options, I had the Mediterranean wrap, a little dry but good. My husband had the black and blue salad and liked it a lot. Service was very good, owners super nice. Sat outside with our dog and they brought him water and treats. Plenty of seating outside and cute atmosphere but a little noisy The interior looks very nice. A little pricey but overall we enjoyed it, plan to return to try the pizza

It was our first time going last night and the atmosphere was charming inside and out. Very nice patio area and the service was great. Our waitress, Sophia, was very friendly and accomodating. We had the calamari and italian sausage wood fired pizza to share between my husband and I and would definitely recommend. The people at the table next to us highly recommendef the chicken blt so we will definitely go back again to try that on a nice day and check sit on patio and request our favorite waitress, Sophia, again! Food, prices, service and atmosphere were all great!

Great place in Landrum SC! Atmosphere is warm, new, organized and friendly! The food was delicious. My wife said many times throughout that it was one of the best salads she has eaten at a restaurant! Our server Sophia did a great job – friendly, attentive and made us feel super welcomed. The whole staff was great! Hope to be back soon! Thank you for a great dining experience!
