I had a very disappointing experience at the KFC on San Mateo. Not only did they forget the sauces that were supposed to come with our order, but the gravy container was not sealed properly and spilled all over the chicken tenders box and the inside of our car. By the time we got home, the food was a mess and completely unappetizing.
When we brought the issue to their attention, the staff — including Joceline — were rude, dismissive, and showed no concern for the mistake or the inconvenience. There was no apology, no offer to fix the situation, and absolutely no sense of customer service.
For a company of this size, the lack of care, quality control, and basic courtesy is unacceptable. I don’t plan on returning, and I would not recommend this location to anyone expecting decent service or properly handled food.

Looks like they’re using old chicken that shouldn’t be served. My wife’s fries were cold & hard- my mashed potatoes & gravy looks like – never going back!

Came here tonight to request an Order of tenders, mashed potatoes, and extra side of mac & cheese. Finally arriving home, I should Not be surprised when instead I got bowl of slop and biscuits. Just being my third time in a row (obviously on different days) thatthis location is messed up my order. After a decent drive back, i arrive and request a refund. everyone is smiling as if this is a perfectly fine incident. When in reality, all I wanted to do was go home after a long day and enjoy my meal. But instead, wasted roughly 40 minutes to deal with the incompetence of the staff!

Horrible experience! The lobby area was very very dirty. The employees were just hanging around, when they could have been cleaning. Office area was messy, garbage all over the floor. Tried giving me completely wrong order. Found hair in chicken. Mac and cheese had sour taste. Mashed potatoes was too runny. Corn was hard and cold. 0/10!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

I sat in the drive through waiting almost 10 minutes for my order and I was the only car in line, I normally check my order there but this time I didn’t. When I got home and opened my box I thought it was a joke. I didn’t have any biscuit and my three piece strip meal only had two pieces. My mashed potatoes had pieces of corn in them and were crusty, my Mac and cheese was all dried up and looked like it had been made the previous day. I tried to call the number on the receipt, I called five different times and nobody answered. This place is a joke.

For me this location has always been friendly cooperative and reasonable. Today after ordering my food I asked for the bathroom key and use the bathroom. It was stopped and clean. While I was in the bathroom somebody took my food and I didn’t realize it. I waited a while and then they asked me if I was waiting on food. I said yes and they made my order and even gave me an extra chicken leg. Chicken with Crispy and hot thank you KFC San Mateo

Ordered an 8 piece nugget got hard over cooked chicken and I got like 3 with actual meat on them all the other ones were crunchy fries there was not even potato left in the fry that’s how dry and hard they where could not even chew it …. So gross….. and the biscuit just sad needless to say I didn’t eat it I didn’t want to get sick I have a late meeting so I wanted to eat before now I have to stop somewhere else spend more money that I don’t have to eat just sad… I have not eating at this location for a long time and I work so close and this is why the food is never good thank you for reminding me why I don’t eat here. What’s the first car in line. Waited ten plus minutes for my food only for them to ask me ” what did you order?” Waited another two minutes for them to hand me the wrong food and wrong drink. I’m pretty sure all the employees are high because nobody clearly wants to do their job. I’ve never written a review before. But this was absolutely frustrating after a long day of work. Everyone needs to be fired and the place needs to be shut down. That is not at all how a drive through experience should go.

we used to come here regularly to order the pot pies. today the pot pies were sunken in and had little to no filling at all, we ordered 3 and none of them were filled like how they used to be. i don’t know if it’s lazy cheap workers, new policies or simply a terrible location but im very disappointed that you guys charged me 8 dollars for straight crust. gross. mind you neither of these pot pies have been eaten from yet.
