The Lobster Cooker and Pub in Freeport, Maine, is a great spot for fresh and tasty seafood! I had the garden salad with lobster, and it was delicious—fresh greens topped with generous portions of sweet, perfectly cooked lobster. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. A wonderful place to enjoy a great meal in Freeport!

Counter service available downstairs, with a cozy pub offering full service upstairs plus outdoor seating. The menu features Maine favorites alongside soft drinks (Coke products), four beers on tap, plenty of canned options, and wine served in mini bottles. Notable beers on tap include Allagash White and Allagash Curieux from Allagash Brewing. Conveniently located near LL Bean and outlet shops. Workers were friendly, and the food was made fresh and served hot — a great local stop worth visiting.

Breakfast is amazing!
My wife, baby and I head to the Lobster Cooker for lunch regularly. (Our favorite spot in town, easy parking and kid friendly.) So we were excited for the new breakfast menu, and it did not disappoint!
The breakfast sandwich on a croissant roll was the winning ticket for me…the croissant was a pleasant surprise! (light, fluffy and warm)
Serve with tots, that meal was 10 for 10.

A great restaurant by the sea. I ordered the clam cake, lobster roll and clam chowder. Each was delicious. There are many other dishes to choose from on the menu. I will be back again

Amazing pub! Counter service downstairs; table service upstairs! Great lobster rolls. Haddock sandwich was amazing and can’t come to Maine without eating a red hot dog. Will definitely come again while in Freeport, ME.

What a great surprise right on Main St. in Freeport. Not to say that lobster, clams and fries should be a surprise at a place called the “The Lobster Cooker,” but all of their fried food was GLUTEN FREE – not to mention delicious! I haven’t had fried clams in a decade- I devoured them. My dad got a crabmeat salad that was huge – and he dove in before I got the photo! Mom said the lobster bisque was delicious too. Be prepared for high prices- but worth it. Spotless dining areas inside and out, plus a fun bar area upstairs. If you’re not a shopper – find this gem and hang out. If you are a shopper, treat yourself to great Maine fare for lunch!

Presentation of the food isn’t much but the taste of the food makes up for it big time. Would definitely come back again for the taste of the food and cool atmosphere.

Just got to Maine wanting to get a fresh lobster roll for starters, ordered other things too. The lobster seemed far from fresh. It was rubbery and absolutely tasteless. My wife thought the same. Like $29 I think per sandwich. What a disappointment. Decor was nice but tasteless too. We love Maine…won’t ever go back here. You get 1 chance and it was horrible.

Odd little place. French fries were pretty much the bottom of the bag
Not sure why anyone would serve them like this. lobster roll with butter was good. I just don’t get why it’s served ice cold.

Lobster Cooker and Pub located in Freeport, Maine is a really good restaurant. We ordered our food to go and we ate it at our hotel room. We ordered two lobster rolls and it came with coleslaw. We loved the lobster roll but we both disliked the coleslaw. We thought it was overpriced for the quantity of food you receive but the quality is very good. We recommend this restaurant.
