We stayed at a local Gîte and wanted a local dinner out. The restaurant we originally hoped to try turned out to be closed and it was pouring rain so we didn’t feel like exploring very far afield. We found this little gem online and decided to give it a try. I speak limited French and we weren’t quite sure when we saw the word “buffet” on the menu. Basically, the entrées are all sieved buffet style. They are very traditional French salsa and charcuterie and were al’ absolutely delicious. Then the very helpful and patient server took our order for our « plat » or main course and they were both delicious as well. I had a burger which was truly exceptional: very rare almost tartare with ham, bacon, cheese and absolutely delicious. My husband had thé andouillette and loved that as well. The desserts are, again at the buffet and include cheese, mousse and other treats.

The people working there whom I think are the owners were so friendly – we stopped off to grab a bottle of wine. They didn’t over charge us for it and were super accommodating. The barman gave my daughter a biscotti biscuit and it made our day. We didn’t get to eat there but regretted it as it looked absolutely delicious.

Totally brilliant experience. We were so delighted to come across this roadside restaurant while travelling from Montval-sur-loir to Le Mans. Proper food for people who work. The atmosphere was great and the staff friendly. 16€ will buy more food and drink than you really need and the quality was excellent.
The only downside is that it is a long way to travel every lunch time from Wiltshire!

We were passing by this area and couldn’t find any places open to eat. I found this place on google and reviews were really nice, Si we decided to give it a go.
I am very happy we stopped here, the food was delicious. They had a great selection of food on the buffet for starters included in the price. Everything was very tasty.
The service was great, friendly and fast. Our waitress was lovely and patient with us. We don’t speak a word of French and she tried really hard to help us with the menu.
Lovely friendly place with good food very reasonably priced.

Great food in a very busy restaurant. Full by 12:15 on a Friday lunchtime and with good reason. I think every lorry driver in the area was there for their lunch buffet, main course, cheese and pud plus coffee. One of the best places I’ve been this year.
