Killens BBQ offered a free meal for federal workers during this shutdown so I paid them a visit. First, I’d like to say “thank you, thank you, thank you!” Thanks for giving back to the community and your customers! Everything was great! I will definitely be back…anyone that cares enough to give a blessing during these trying times definitely deserves my business. The chopped beef, baked beans, and potato salad all delicious! Once again I thank you guys and it was much appreciated!! ❤️

All I have to say is I’m 36 weeks pregnant and this meal was BOMB. We ordered a few things to try since this was our first time. And literally EVERYTHING was great. I know what I’ll be asking my husband for when we deliver our son at the hospital across the street Just typing this has me drooling over how good the bread pudding was.

I come here often. The food is amazing and the customer service is good. Today I walked in to place my order and a worker seen I had on a postal uniform. He stopped me and said wait we have free food for all government employees. We support y’all during this rough time. I said I’m part of the government yes. But we aren’t affected because we are self sustaining. We don’t get any money from the government. The employee said well we still love and support y’all. Tell a friend and he gave me this delicious plate for free. I want to take time to say this. I will forever support any business that thinks of other during their time of need. It says alot about a business!

If you’re in the area and craving BBQ the food is good and will probably satisfy the craving. I am a BBQ aficionado and much more critical than most people. I had ribs and house sausage with cream corn and baked beans. The ribs were a nice cut and had a good bite, the sausage also had a crisp casing which I like and good flavor. I did not enjoy the sides as much, they did not taste fresh and seemed like they had been on a steam table for too long or were a carry over from the previous day. I guess the best way I can sum up my experience is if you’re in the area I definitely would not hesitate to stop. I on the other hand would probably not make a special trip to try it if I lived outside the area as I do. The next time I’m in The Woodlands I will be going back to try the Chicken Fried Steak. I saw a couple of other customers who had it and it looked good.

Great BBQ in The Woodlands! The brisket had awesome flavor and was super moist. The sides were delicious too, and the prices are very reasonable for Texas BBQ. Definitely recommend!

OH. MY GOODNESS. This was my first time eating here and it is PHENOMENAL!!!!! Their pulled pork literally melts in your mouth and has some of the best flavor I’ve ever had on meat. The meat melts in your mouth. All the employees are so sweet and so kind. Always willing to help. You can truly tell that the food is made with love. I can’t wait to come back soon!!! Save the Woodlands location!!!!

First time here. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The line people were very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and the music was good country not played over loudly. Would like to come back to try their other sandwiches. They had turkey, chicken, sausage and pulled pork. Yum!

My 1st visit here and it was VERY good. A little pricey but all in all, not bad. This is just my opinion and I’m a picky BBQ eater. The pork belly tacos were delicious, along with the fresh cut onion rings which were huge. The beef rib was the size of a dinosaur bone and good. I tasted my friend’s collard greens and surprisingly were also good. I’ll have so say the green beans and brussels sprouts were tasty too. Just know this place is not cheap. They offer outdoor seating as well.

Service was great, parking is adequate, although the it was NOT (THE BEST BBQ PERIOD) it wasn’t bad. I like the greens, and the broccoli casserole, and the ribs. The brisket was a bit rubbery, and dry, maybe it was bcuz they cut it from the last pieces of a brisket before they started on a new one. The service was good though.

Used to love Killens, but feel it’s gone downhill and not really better than alternatives.

Got moist brisket, Mac and cheese (which was quite good), and Brussels (average nothing special).

I’ll focus on the brisket:
Pros – very moist and forkable.
Cons – taste was just…. Kinda blah. Nothing like the strong smokey flavor used to get when there was a line out the door and they’d sell out and the BBQ was clearly fresher.

Sad to leave a review like this but for the price it’s not what it should be,
