I had such a great experience at 200 North Beach! The shrimp po’boy was fresh but it was a bit salty. The gumbo had that deep, comforting Southern flavor you hope for on the Coast. It was delicious. But the real star of the meal was the crawfish cornbread — absolutely incredible! Rich, savory, a little sweet, chunks of crawfish and completely unforgettable. I would come back for that alone.

The location is perfect right in the heart of a charming shopping district with plenty to browse before or after your meal. It adds such a nice energy to the whole experience and really makes the restaurant feel like a natural part of the community.

I also loved sitting outside. The patio is relaxing, breezy, and ideal for people-watching. It’s the kind of spot where you can take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and let the afternoon stretch a little longer. The waitress was so kind she’s been there for years and is so loved. People walking by let us know they really liked her. Great food, great vibes, and definitely a place I’ll return to!

Oh my goodnessssss!!!! This place was absolutely amazing and something special!!! From the ambiance, the service, the food, everything was absolutely amazing and perfect!!!

We visited last week while we were staying in Bay St. Louis and we were at another restaurant and was not a fan of it at alllllllll, so we looked up good restaurants in our area and this one popped up. It wasn’t that far of a walk at all. So we decided why not and we are so glad we did!!!

We were greeted with a warm smile, and our server, I want to say her name was Jen, was so nice, amazing, knowledgeable, and just had a kind spirit about her.

The food was absolutely amazing. I mean those chargeilled oysters and those crab claws and oh, the pecan red fish. It was all just so freaking good!!!! And the long island teas were perfect!!!

When I say everything was amazing and perfect, everything was. This place was something special and honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in awhile.

10/10 definitely recommend!!! Can’t wait to come back and enjoy even more things from here!!

I’ve been around the world and throughout this country, since growing up in Bay Saint Louis. I came back today after visiting my mother in the hospital to have some local cuisine, which I hoped was as I remembered it. The food I had today at North Beach is exactly as I remember. Remembrance or not, this is an absolutely a fantastic restaurant. 5 stars it’s not enough. If you don’t stop here to eat, you’re making a mistake. I had the grilled seafood platter, which I highly recommend, and the bread pudding for dessert along with the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. This is authentic Gulf Coast, authentic New Orleans cuisine in every sense.
I know: I grew up on this food, and I was a cook on an offshore Louisiana oil rig as young man, so with those credentials, I know what I’m talking about. I’ve cooked all of these dishes myself, including the bread pudding, but nothing matches this. I wish I was more poetic to adequately convey the sublime experience of eating at North Beach Restaurant in Bay St Louis Mississippi.

We enjoyed an amazing meal that included the smoked salmon dip and charbroiled oysters. We also enjoyed the Long Island Ice Teas. The service was great, the food was amazing, and the drinks were awesome. If you love charbroiled oysters like we do, check this place out!

Do not recommend. I ordered a ribeye medium rare, had to send back the first one because it was overcooked and had way too much charcoal on it. Didn’t even bother tasting it. The second one was also overcooked but decided to try it. Wished I hadn’t. Still not medium rare but WAY too over seasoned and there was pretty much no flavour of fat at all. It was like a cheap cut from Walmart. I ate 3 bites, my boyfriend tried a bite and didn’t even want to eat it and he was still hungry. The rest of the food was pretty bland bar the calamari which was actually pretty good. We were offered dessert to make up for the issues with the steak. I didn’t take the steak home and I did not take the offer of dessert.
I will not be going back.

The Lemon drop martini is bomb, and the BSL lounge is very hip and swanky. The food is alright and pricy. We were given the option to sit upstairs outside to eat which was amazing because that’s what we wanted; however, the waitress seemed surprised and inconvenienced when we said we would be ordering dinner. It was our friend’s birthday, and she ended up having to wait longer for her food, unfortunately. The oysters were good. The redfish was a bit thin & dry, but the trout was flaky and buttery.

We ate here this past Friday night, and it was definitely nothing special. Not sure why reservations are required since there were 6 people seated in the entire place when we arrived at 5pm. My ribeye had a lot of fat but was well prepared. The chargrilled oyster appetizer was good but lacked enough butter. We were sat under a leaking a/c vent, and it was still warm inside. Overall, I doubt we ever come back because nothing really stood out as overly impressive.
