Joy’s is truly a local gem and joy to visit. The customer service was top notch and the service was fast, given the circumstances. Likewise, the portions are generous and they over delivered in the taste and texture categories. The restroom was clean (a huge one).

We haven’t found a better carrot cake than the one PCC sold back on the Eastside; we’ve been through WA and OR in search of an equal slice. Joy’s carrot cake curb stomped our once favorite PCC slices, thus obviating any need to revisit our past haunts.

You can say we’re customers for life. If you’re a huge panini fan (which I am not), this is your joint. I’m not against them, I’ve just never experienced this caliber of sandwich before, regardless of the cost.

Don’t wait!

The staff is very friendly. They let you sample the soup of the day before you buy. The price is great they have home feeling I side with some antique looks. I upload some pictures of the inside. What is also great is that you order your food and then pick your seating.

Once Upon a Thyme was a wonderful place to stop on our way out of town! We arrived just before the lunch rush, so we were able to get a table right away, and the food came out quickly. There’s a great variety to choose from, and everything is made fresh. The sandwiches are made to order, and the chicken and other meats are smoked on-site, which really adds to the flavor.

The wraps were big enough to share, and everything tasted amazing. There’s plenty of parking both in the lot and on the street. The pastries looked absolutely delicious—I wish I had picked one up!

The decor is super cute, and the staff was incredibly friendly. As we sat and enjoyed our food, we noticed that this place had been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri—and I can totally see why!

Great job, y’all—keep up the awesome work. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re traveling the I-5!

Their food is absolutely delicious, I had a portobello panini and a cup of curry coconut cashew carrot soup.
The atmosphere was a bit loud for me, but it may be due to it being lunch time.
I love the decor, so eclectic and fun.

Excellent value! No-excuses food with great taste. GF available. The Thai chicken curry soup was perfect… 1.5 out of 5 spiciness; flavor without the burn! Price barely above a fast food restaurant but very good quality.

The food here was fantastic. My sister and I stopped for lunch and we were very impressed. We both have allergies and they were very accommodating. I got one of their hot sandwiches and the gluten bread was great. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

I love the quaint restaurant!
I get to have lunch here every 5,000 miles, as i get my oil changed across the street…lol!
Today I’m having the 1/2 cold turkey sandwich and a sclice of vegan carrot cake, yum!!! I chose extra orange slices over potato chips and mayo on the side. They are always so obliging here!!!

AMAZING food!! You know when a meal is *really* special… like it’s made with love? This place has double helpings of love in the food – and it’s the same every time I’m here. The desserts are phenomenal. My wife loves the chocolate raspberry tart, and the carrot cake here is the best I’ve ever had.

Joy, the owner and head chef often checks to make sure you are enjoying your lunch – when she’s not in the back grilling smoked chicken on the Trager for her curry chicken salad (also amazing as a salad or wrap)!

You will thoroughly enjoy anything you order here – it’s that good!

Super Genius
Local food made by hand with a chefs touch. Everything had great flavor and the staffs demeanor was amazingly kind. The lunch rush gets pretty busy so you might consider calling in your order well ahead of time. Proud to support this woman owned business and looking forward to our next visit.
